OMG I am so pissed off!! No better place to rant about it than here.

So here I am on my 4th month with the curve...mmmm yes loved this machine so much...it really really 'modified" my lifestyle ;)

Today its decided to freeze on me...WTF!! I can see the screen, but cannot open any of the applications. I am about to loose it!!

I called costumer service, and the fella explained that I may be experiencing software issues....that we could eventually try reseting the machine, or reloading the programs and applications, but that in the process I would loose all my contacts, emails, texts pictures..kiss my ****ing ass!!!

I can upload the contacts onto my pc and then send them back into the blackberry once it is fixed, but what about all my emails, pictures, MY TEXTS WTF!!!!

My buddy told me it happened to him, as he was having a good laugh---prick!! and that I would have to get a new curve in the end.

Blackberry grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:confused:

I generally upgrade phones every 1 or 2 years at most, I was thinking about getting into the new one from Bell----but I just wish it did not have to go down this way...I am pissed off that I am going to lose all my information.

Emails, texts, pictures and all info should be transferable.:(

Hold on, are you telling me that it could potentially work again? the crash on me.....

What is really irritating me, is that |I have 10 texts from this afternoon, that I NEED to retrieve:(

All that to say, I am going to look long and hard at replacing it with something else...I cannot go back to regular phones as I DO need the data components the blackberry as an over all has to offer.....

How is the new G35 that Bell just came out with--the Storm?? is it ironed out, or is it still in its beta testing process?

This happens a lot with blackberry sometimes they just crash....just take the battery out for a few minutes then put it back in & turn on your phone...this usually fixes mine every time...& none of your data or texts will be lost

does desktop manager still recognize it? Mass storage access on your computer? I'm sure that if you called for support they had you pull the battery to reset it but if they didn't it's the first thing you should do. Most problems are caused by 3rd party apps but it can be a challenge figuring out which one

Guess what I have..a new PINKberry. Pink protective case on my curve. Great news I"m reading here..I waited 3 weeks for my new Curve to come in. Bell gave it to me with my $250 credit and I paid only $50 for it with a new 3 year contract.

NO guys..I'm happy with bell, no use trying to talk me into switching companies.

Since I waited so long for it, I'm hoping that all the problems you guys are talking about are ironed out of mine.

I'm paying $6 a month for a warranty fee, sounds like i"m going to need it.

(NOTE>take battery out and wait...put it back and it works again.) Good to know.

yup.

i've had worldphone, curve and storm ......and they all freeze from time to time. i actually liked the curve the best performance wise, although it had a cheaply made feel to it. the storm is slow as **** and the touch typing leaves much to be desired but apparently there are some software upgrades in the works.

oh yeah, this year we switched service providers, telus to bell. if it wasnt for the big savings on corporate accounts i would make the move back to telus. bell sucks.

My curve was freezing up quite a bit. Not anymore though...If you call Rogers about it they'll direct you to a site for a fix. Since the fix I haven't had a problem with it at all.

I am with Bell too, and have been faithful to the corporation for almost 10 years time.

I have tried taking out the battery....and no go. I can see the calls come in, but I cannot navigate the software at all. I cannot pick up or make calls.---now my texts are 20 :( I cannot view them.

I am able to save the pictures that I had stored onto my PC, but I cannot seem to be able to access my phone book---to save all of my contacts, emails and such...wtf.
I am taking it in tomorrow to the shop---I am dissapointed of course.

take a backup with desktop manager and reload the os on the phone; I've had a lot of smart phones over the years and they have all needed a reload at least once

Can someone tell me how to make mine ring longer? It vibrates for 2 shakes, (hardly time to get excited) Then it rings 2 x and goes to message.

if you want to stay with Bell, look into the world edition 8830. It has a SIM card where the curve has a built in chip. If anything happens you can just switch phones with your SIM card and not lose any info.
