If so, what do you like to drink?

For white, I like a good Chardonnay from Gallo.

From red, most from Italy or France are good but I tasted one from Argentina once that had black courrant (sp?) flavours and really like it.

Wolf Blass cabernet sauvignon or Masee (italian red) time to time i will drink some white but red is much healthier.

I absolutely love red wine, but recently I've started getting some bad stomach aches after drinking it. Indigestion, I think. Damn shame cause I would drink some with every meal if I could.

stomach aches from the wine itself? have you maybe considered that it might be your overall PH balance in your system due to improper balance due to diet? Im just saying this because I had this issue recently.

A weakness, a good pinot, a nice shiraz-cab blend. I've been pretty stuck on washington and californian reds for the last couple of years. I try very hard not to have more than 3 or 4 glasses a week....

sigh.. I think I'll have one now.

Actually no I haven't considered that. How did you fix the problem? Did you experience with wine only or other foods as well?

My wife and I love wine's. We don't really have a favorite, we do have country's that we tend to buy more frequently from, South African, Argintina, chile, New Zeland, Australian and recently our very own B.C. wine's. B.C. has come a long way since the old screw cap Similkameen wine's..

i am a wino. nothing is better to me then a glass of wine. or a wine buzz. just dont like a wine drunk, as i get into trouble, and hate the hangovers.

if i get pissed on wine, the next day I ****ing HATE logging on to the computer to see what i did online. If I am with someone, usually everything is fine....its only when i am alone and drunk where trouble starts.

Fav is red. Cab sav, or shiraz
whites are great, and sav blanc or semillion blanc satisfies, but wont turn anything away really

I have wine once or twice a week, unless I'm off alcohol for dieting reasons. I'm another Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz guy, Australian usually. I also LOVE sparkling wines and will drink those any time and with anything. Some of the good ones are pretty affordable, too.

One of the things I'm really looking forward to about living in Japan is that wine is really inexpensive there. No taxes, and it's popularity falls way behind beer, saki, shochu, and whiskey so they don't jack up the prices. We'll be able to afford French Burgandy (Pinot), and Bordeaux (Cab) there. Real Champagne, too! I'll probably go back to the Aussie Cabs and Shirazes eventually, though. I just really enjoy those.

i was actually having issues with many foods/liquid, i thought i was seriously messed up, but red wine was the worse, i think maybe because of the high acid content? not sure, i just started eating a shit load more of fiber and foods high in pro biotic bacterias, eating a ton of protein such as red meat will do this and cause you to gag on certain things and puke it up.. i just cleaned up my diet and starting eating leaner less acidic meat like white fish, chicken and so on.. heres a good read

a great read if your having acid reflux/ heart burn issues and so on...

I like to stick to my nutritional plans. Rarely will I drink in general and even rarer will I drink wine unless out, at a family thing, etc.

Only recently have I started to lax and enjoy more of a social lifestyle so am starting to enjoy but still feel a bit guilty if I enjoy too much. Empty calories :(

Plus, booze and gear dont mix.

Hick up...:D

No guys..I'm doing so much better. Not drinking like I was. Happy that I'm free of the abuse.

I"m a red lover..but hate how it stains my lips and mouth.

A newer one I found to be really good and cheap is Fuzion. Some LCBOs cant keep it in stock once they get it.

I'm not much of a wine drinker myself. For the longest time the only wine I'd drink would be Mogen David or Manischewitz (must be chilled though as it tames the sweetness a bit). I'm sure a few of you are shaking your heads right about now.

I did get to try a 2007 Beaujolais Nouveau though and really enjoyed it. I heard this years wasn't that great though. I'd probably drink a bit more wine if I could find some like that.

Opened up a bottle of Silverthorne Red from Australia. I recommend this one. It's rather good. It goes great with the steak and potato's I had.
