Nice.

I have a crappy work phone that I can use for personal use. It is big and bulky, but it is free.

Nokia camera + mp3 phone. I can't remember the model though and I'm too lazy to take the battery off :p Not an expensive one though... Got it for 19$ by signing a 3 year contract

SE W810i. I was considering the K790, but liked the look and feel of the 810 better. Plus it's just a tad smaller which is what ultimately swayed me to buy it over the 790. K790 is a sweet phone though.

I would never pay anything for a phone, I just sign a contract and take whatever phone they will give me. I'm cheap though.......

Dont like the idea of people being able to get ahold of you whenever they want?

Nah, it's not that so much. I just don't understand the whole obsession with them. I've lived my whole life without ever feeling the need to have one, so I'm sure I can live the rest of it as well without one. I have a home phone, it's cheaper, and people can reach me there. Or there is email, also cheaper. Why add another monthly bill to the list?

I have the k790 as well, it is a great phone and the pictures it takes are really quite good. Paid $170 for it. I hate having to have a cell but no one can reach me when I am working in case of an emergency (I have 4 kids!). I went for many years without one, the nice thing is only about 3 people have my cell number so it is not like I use it alot.

I have the palm 650 treo as well for a personal phone and a crackberry for work. There are features on both that that I dislike and some is wish the other had. The treo is a unlocked GSM and sure is handy when traveling. The crackberry stay at home except when working close to home which has not happened in a while. If I was gonna fork out 500 bones my self though I think I would go with the treo out of those 2 phones anyway.

I have had a dingleberry myself---for the last 2 years. I already sent it in once for software malfunction. I did get a brand new one.

Blackberry curve

NOW this one has been acting slow the last few days, I am starting to get worried :( I need to back my data up, will do so today.

When it's slowing up, hold down ALT and type LGLG and it will put you in the event log, hit menu then clear log. Do a battery pull and you should be good to go! :bch

GOOD STUFF!!! I normally DO clean up its browsing memory: cookies and such, and I often delete unwanted hold ups.

I too reset the battery at least once or more times per week, I find it helps the settings.

I do not have a media card installed, so pic or video memory is very small and not used much.

I have used all the tools possible to speed her up...I will check in with the provider this week, it is worrying me a little.

The event log goes more in depth than browsing history, etc... there's actually a log in the blackberry that keeps track of every application you open, key strokes, etc... that's the event log. Probably best for us to do that often anyways ;) Also get yourself a program called "Quick Pull". Should be in the app world. It simulates pulling the battery without actually doing it. Schedule it to do a battery reset every day at like 3am when you're sleeping. If it's still slow, your phone is f'd and go ship it out for service. Be sure to clear your memory first :p
