Underground steroids are indeed everywhere. But are they actually safe to use? Are underground steroids truly equivalent to the prescription drugs they are to replace? Anyone on here sterilize their UG gear before use? Or is everyone just taking a chance that the gear being purchased is clean of\
metals,strep...?

If a lab is reputable, then there should be no worries regarding sterility. Stick with trusted names and there should be no problems.

It would be nice if we had an independent lab doing Quality Control. Unfortunately I do not think that will happen. Guess you could sterilize it yourself to be sure.

Interesing post.

NOT all labs you see out there have the necessary funds and resources to keep "FDA" approved practices---lets face it glandestine labs do not have full access to professional lab products.
The labs that have the money and have some connections, will go to the lengths in providing the best possible product to the public.
I have never seen a lab personally, only via pictures....those guys are smart and sure know that this is a business....keep the clients happy...100% of the time will means repeat costumer|more money.

.22 or .45?

Just suck it up from one vial, put on whatman, push into new vial? That's it? What's all this "bake at 250" stuff I'm finding on google?
I homebrew everything and never bake. Just use a .22 filter along with a good BA/BB concentration and I am good to go. My gear is the most painless shit going :)

3 years strong and never had an infection problem.

As stated before, UGL take there "job" seriously. I would be much more nervous shooting a "legit" mexican gear, than a proven canadian ugl.

Dirty gear would make a loud noise on the web sites including this one. I have yet to hear of any gear being unsterile or causing ill effects other than a heman creating pain that puts lead in your pencil.

While the .22 whatman, ba and heat treatment are nowhere near as stringent as a white room it meets the basic need. No live bacteria or virus and no large pieces of shit.

There may be smaller pieces of bacteria/virus and the powder may or may not have the assayed purity you would expect from human grade pharmaceuticals. It's hard to tell as I would guess the good stuff is more expensive than the didn't quite pass inspection stuff and money talks in china. caveat emptor.

Sterile doesn't mean it isn't tainted with other chemicals nor does it mean that there are not pieces of dead things floating around smaller than the .22 whatman filters out.

There are absolutely different grades of powders that can be bought from the chemical manufacturers at different price points.

So "sterile is sterile" while true simply means that there are no living floaters in your gear. It doesn't mean that there are no dead pieces or precursor chemicals. Either of these represent potential health issues other than local bacterial infection.

When you send your money off to a UGL you aren't just trusting you don't get scammed for the cash. You are also trusting that they have acquired the right grade of product from an honest supplier and that it hasn't been tampered with throughout the supply chain.

I am generally confident that UG gear is sterile and that the odds of significant tainting is low. Odd bits of foreign floaters smaller than the whatman filter do make me a little nervous.

I re-filter all the time with a whatman 22 filter.
