View Full Version : non-Test AAS show up in blood tests?

Old questions and I think I know the answer.
But if I were running, say, Test prop and I stop, two weeks later I should be able to get a blood test and the Test p would not show, right?
If I were also running, say, EQ or Deca, they would not show either since they are not Test and not androgens. Is this right?
But what if were also running Masteron or Tren, would they show up on a blood test for test? Both potent androgens, after all, with Mast a DHT derivative.
Anyone have some knowledge in this delicate area?

It depends on how thoroughly they are looking for AAS in your blood. If it is an NCAA or IOC test, I'm pretty sure they are gonna find anything and everything in your blood including AI's, SERM's, Finasteride etc. as those are all banned substances as well. According to NCAA regulations you cant even have too high of a caffeine count in your urine test or you will fail. I know a couple guys who got popped cause they drank a red bull before the game. The tests they have out now can and will find EVERYTHING(except GH as far as I know there is no reliable test for that still).
It depends on the kind of test they do. Some test simply measure the testosterone-epitestosterone ratio. Other tests will look for specific compounds. If you're talking about regular blood works, then whatever you're taking doesn't matter, other than the obvious discrepancies between test and LH, they won't see anything
If they do the right test deca can show up for well over a year after use.

Yeah, I'm a bonehead for not being clear. I'm talking about checking for testosterone levels. I'm getting bloodowork in mid-March to see if I qualify for TRT (Androgel or Test cyp). Now I'm at the age (late 50s) where exogenous Test should almost be a requirement, but since I got my tryout prescription of Androgel beginning of the year I've been running a juicy cycle of Test prop & Masteron instead, which I intend to end first of March. I'll start the Androgel then too. I'm hoping in two weeks, both the Test p & the Mast don't show in my total & free testosterone, but even with the Androgel I'll still be below normal with nicely shrunken nuts. In two weeks, I'm assuming the short ester AAS should be out of sight, right?
Beyond that, I was just curious whether pure anabolics like EQ or Deca would even show up when testosterone levels are checked.

I know for a fact Eq shows up as test. The assays cannot discriminate between androgenic substances.
Things such as primo and anavar wouldnt show up though.

What leads you to think that anavar and primo wont show up when eq will?
It is my understanding that most labs use immuno assays (someone correct me if I am wrong), the antibody used in these assays may or may not bind to your steroid with greater or lesser affinity then test (probably lesser). If mass spectrometry was used then you are in the clear with any steroid that is not testosterone, and that does not have the same molecular weight as testosterone.
Depending on what assay is used and what antibody is used it is impossible to know whether a steroid will or will not show up.
Your best bet is with steroids that are significantly different from test, winny is good because of the extra steric hindrance provided by pyrazole group, perhaps anadrole since it has that nice oxymethylene group, but who really knows?

I believe testosterone levels in blood tests are done with mass spectrometry here (& other places too)
Now I'm running Masteron with 25% prop & 75% enanthate, along with the Test prop. Was going to quit the Masteron (Mastabol 200 by "BD") the same time as the Test prop, two weeks before bloodwork. Now I'm thinking that, just to be safe, I should quit the Mast about now. I want to be low for the BW, after all.
Thanks for your contributions, gentlemen.

Interesting, if it is for sure mass spec in canadian labs that shouldnt be hard to beat (for the purposes of getting on HRT) Probably the best candidate would be an oral like dianabol
