My Jr has been loosing alot of bf and is now 9 weeks out. He is natty. I fear he may come in to thin for his first level 1 show. He is suffering from late night cravings more then any other time of the day. I didn't want him on ECA till later due to his weight coming down naturally with out it the last few months.

What product out there will help with the cravings and not cause muscle wasting?

increase his food intake/fiber intake and/or drink more water.

i feel the products on the market to curb hunger are nothing but bs!

Another thing i used to do help curb my appetiete at night is chew gum... it seemed to help me quite alot. Another thing i used to do is have a couple of tablespoons of franks hot sauce and that seemed to help a bit too...

if he is losing BF too fast and you fear he may come in to small then give him some extra calories. Pretty simple for anyone competing that's coming in too quickly. Slow it down.

Add some good fats in there as well, it will curb hunger big time......Also wont create to much of a slin spike.....although slin is good for anticatabolic traits while dieting...
But for appetite control, add some peanut butter or olive oil etc here and there..

Good points but I hear fish oils work the best for carb cravings. I notice myself that they help, especially when I get stressed and have higher cortisol levels.

Also if the Jr. is a man he should try Copenhagen or Skoal to curb food cravings. Works for me.

+1 on the fibre. Add psyllium to your shakes and take in a large glass of water after. The fibre expands to give you that full feeling.

HEMP PROTEIN POWDER. Loaded with fibre and protein to help keep you feeling full and only 100 cals per serving. VERY effective at curbing appetite. Look into it.

chewing tobacco pretty much automatically makes you a douchebag IMO

^^^ That was funny. I think of old farts sitting on the front pourch in a rocking chair, or people with really bad dental hygiene. No offence to anybody who chews. That stuff must taste disgusting leaving you with no appetite to eat hence the effectiveness. Would the gum have the same effect? I once pro`s who diet use it for that purpose. Used it myself before working out and it does get you wired.

nicorettes kill my appetite, and give me energy in the gym, but i get woozy on it at times...I smoke a couple or 3 smokes a day now to curb my appetite, i hate doing it, but i can quit easily when done.....it kills the pain for now...

Why? Please elaborate? If you want to debate this I am open if you actually have an argument, but it is well known that tobacco kills appetite, hence its popularity among sailors.

Great information everyone. I gave him some OatBran this week. He started putting it into his shakes and with his morning oats too.

Were going to talk about his fats then.....less almonds and maybe more Flax oil or other kinds.

I know that Fouad uses Wheat Bran on his guys who are dieting. I have explosive bowl movements on it at places I can't afford to dirty myself at..I prefer the oat instead.

The Jr is quietly lurking on here and I'm sure he is reading this. So keep it up.

Thanks guys.:yeah

chewing tobacco is the most disgusting habit on the planet, tied with smoking. anyone willing to sacrifice their health by chewing tobacco to curb a few cravings deserves the health problems that will ensue. obviously chewing a few times here and there during a year only when dieting isnt gonna kill anyone, and most likely wont cause cancer, but you look like a complete asshole with a huge wad in your mouth constantly spitting tar. there are hundreds of healthy alternatives that are very effective.

Do you take steroids? I don't know if you do some that's why I am asking, but don't go lecturing somebody else on their health if you do.

Do you know what makes somebody look like a complete asshole?

Calling them a douche when their lifestyle has no affect on your whatsoever.

As for healthy alternatives, let's face it. Body building is exactly the healthiest sport out there. Nothing says healthy like forced feeding, bulking, and then dropping so much BF that women lose their cycles and guys can't even think straight.

Got some flax oil capsules. ( I no capsules are not as effective in any way as the oil, but i strongly dislike the oil) so i chose to add these babies to every meal just 1 cap (1 g of OMEGA-3 fat, with my 5 almonds) to help the late night cravings and after id say 3 days the hunger pains after 10 PM have all but disapeared. Im happy to get over this late night shittt...

On the topic of BBing being healthy... ANYONE who ever thinks this is a healthy sport is surely kidding themselves.

The torture on our muscles and joints, the potential long-term effects of steroids, bulking up and dieting down to unhealthy levels... not to mention dehydration. Weird how people can look at us dieted down and think we're healthy just because we have abs showing.

I won't argue the point because it is personal preference but feel anyone chewing or smoking tobacco to be a douche bag to there! :yeah
