View Full Version : Underfilled or not? Does it depend on the lab?

What's the general consensus on how much liquid should be in a bottle? I'm seeing a lot, actually most, products seem to be filled just about to the top of the bottle. However, what I got, the level was significantly less than right to the top.. compared to others it seems underfilled.
Now that I'm just about finished by second and last bottle of this particular test e, and after only using 0.8ml per shot, I can see it definitely was underfilled. Even assuming that each shot .1cc is wasted in the tip.. I only got 9 shots out of this bottle, at .9ml each, which would mean it was 8.1ml. I have around .6-.8ml left over in the bottle.
Does this happen more often than not? Needless to say, I'm more than a little annoyed with it.

let your rep know
mistakes happen. More often than not, reps handle mistakes like that quickly.

they were both underfilled.. same level in each. the first one i thought it was just because i wasn't sure what i was doing. but def. sure after the 2nd one coming up short as well.
unfortunately i'm not in the position to say or do anything about it.. it's complicated. maybe i'll just try another lab next time.

I dont really think it was under filled, almost each lab i've used I always end up short about a 1ml or so, its hard to suck up everything theres always going to be abit of a waste.

A respectable lab should always overfill 0.5-1ml...just for guys like me... :yeah

Any lab that dont over fill a tab is just not worth it, it's nothing to put a bit extra in for just this. i'd contact a rep as i'm sure more good labs do this as normal practise

I've had a lab that i knew for sure put exactly 10ml in a vial, no over, no under. The problem was in the syringes (BD for what it's worth). When you draw to the '1cc' mark on the syringe that means '1cc will make it into your body.' Anyone who's finished an injection, pulls out the needle, then put some air in the syringe, you'll see just a touch of oil still in the syringe... it adds up
Me being such a stickler for shit like this. I've found it's about .1cc left behind in the syringe (what fills the needle/removable part itself when removed in a 1 inch 23G). Over 10 injections that's a whole cc... so a vial turns into 9 injections. An over fill of 1cc seems almost required in my opinion just to offset this loss. I guess it should be 11cc vials and labeled as "10 x 1cc injections."

I've never run across a reputable UG that "underfills"... some that filled spot on, and then yes you don't get 10 x 1ml shots, but you're still getting the 10ml you payed for.
Course you could run across that "odd" bottle. Then again, there's always that "odd" bottle a little more overfilled.
Also I've notice differences in vials... some hold exactly 10ml to the stopper, some look like they would hold 13 - 14 ml right to the stopper... The new SA shorties look like they hold 10ml right to the stopper, but I may be wrong.
Put a little air lock in the syringe, 1/10 ml at the end and you'll get it all with no harm done.

I think its because you live in cali, the sea level over there is different which makes it seem like theirs less liquid in the vail. :p
i'm glad you got everything worked out.
