I'm kind of a shy guy. There are lots of circumstances where I can be very outgoing, but trying to meet women was never one of them. I either need a woman to throw herself at me, or get set up by friends. You have no control over the former (other than shaving, showering, and putting on a clean shirt, I guess) but you could always let your lame married friends know that you are in the market. There have got to be some nice-looking, sweet-natured, single girls that your lame married friends know through work or whatever. That's the best way to meet nice girls, by far... It sounds kind of like you want to meet a nice girl.

Working at bars is a funny situation if you're looking for romance. I've worked the door a couple of time, and both times I was in a relationship. I'd get girls throwing themselves at me once in a while, and it was good for my self esteem... BUT... they were not the kind of girls that I usually like to get involved with. If I took something in college it would be literature or a writing course. I know how to cook and I have no interest in bartending. Discussing literature and creative writing is more my cup of tea and where I will actually do good.

The world is half women, and chances are that you'll walk by or come incontact with dozens of attractive women per day, but let them pass you by every time...my advice...get good at talking with women and literally approach every single one you're attracted to!

You may not be good now, but there's all kinds of things you can do to get good at it even trial and error. You'll learn very fast what works and what doesn't but you'll never get good at talking with random women until you practice it...it's a hands on type of thing!

Working at a bar, or being in a bar is a great place to get laid. But once you hit your 30s you are not really going to find quality women getting drunk at a bar. i meet girls either at school or at the club where I bounce. Bouncing is a gold mine, you are virtually guaranteed groupies who will "go out with you" every night.
