View Full Version : anavar for bridging

On the profile of anavar one can read that anavar does not significantly influence the body's normal testosterone production at low dosages (10-20mgs)
Lets say I'm done with PCT could 10-20mgs var do any difference until I get back on?
The reason I'm asking is that I ended a 10 month cycle due too acne and getting tire of inj. My pct is done and I have lost 8pound. I plan to get some blood work. When Hpta regain normal range I would jump on var until next cycle. would I see anything @ 20mg of var a day?
i think if taken right before a workout you would see a minor boost in strength and or endurance. taken for long periods of time spread out 10/10 every 10 hours or so, i think it might prove beneficial for fat loss. var has always been VERY effective at building strength and lean mass for me, even when run alone.

Apparently <10mgs first thing in the morning wont have a singificant impact on HPTA function (assuming things are going good to begin with). Same goes for Dbol ... a low dose of a short half life oral that coincices with your bodys natural androgen spike apparently "hides" the exogenous AAS from the hypothalamus and doesnt result in any inhibition.
I would just take the time off, give your system a break, plus you produce about 11mg natural test a day, well depends on what book you read.I'm not a fan of bridging.

Var will shut you down, which defeats the purpose of coming off.
r u entirely sure of this statement, i have heard otherwise

Yes I am. Its a steroid and will suppress you natural production. If you are coming off, COME OFF, don't half ass it by bridging.
That is exactly wut I would expect someone that loves sluts to say

I have seen many studies that showed that var at a certain mg/kg dose (i forgot the exact dose) does not shut you done. About 6 months ago I tried this theory and found 2 things
1) Var at the dose that is not suppressive (supposedly) does not support libido, it is not androgenic enough to make you feel normal - so in terms of the mental effects var does not make you feel ok after ending a cycle
2) Var at the dose that is not suppressive does not support the strength or recovery that you are used to from being on
These two factors made me reconsider the use of var as a bridge. Since I neither felt strong nor normal.
At one point in this experiment I gave up and started using 50mg a day. Right away I felt better, sex drive, strength, and mental fortitude returned.
So from my experience bridging with var at non suppressive dosages provides an unsatisfactory level of androgenic/anabolic stimulus

Finally! some one whit some real experience on the mater.
thanks for your input

Maybe some wouldn't be shut down at 50mg/day....i didn't but wasn't using it as a bridge...just a q?

Maybe not for a while, but from others' experience and suggestive studies, var will delay recovery during & after PCT. This is certainly true of the 10 mg in the morning DBol theory and now (after my last cycle) think it's true of Provi too.

Proviron will not shut you down.

I still am not sure what the point of this is. Var is not PCT, it can be used as a bridge but only at dosages that will not allow recovery of HPTA. I think its clear that this debate is rather redundant. If you want to bridge with an oral then dbol is the clear choice as
1) Its cheaper then var
2) 10mg of dbol is probably no more liver toxic then 50mg of var - remember var is the least liver toxic but when you take 5x the amount of it how much does that lower liver toxicity really matter?
I have concluded that the only acceptable bridge is 250mg of test every 2 weeks (HRT dosage) or 125mg a week. This allows you to have normal test levels. It is also not liver toxic and you can bridge this way for as long as you like quite safely (HRT patients do it their whole lives).
Will you recover? no, but isnt that the point of a bridge?

Agreed, bridging is not recovery, no matter what you use.
I used to run Provi all through PCT and even after (not as bridge but believing it had no effect on the return of the HPT axis) but I found recently I was just not recovering fully until I stopped. I am aware that there are a limited few studies that suggest that Provi has no effect either way, but that was not my recent experience (though I certainly wished it were otherwise and kept taking my Provi). So, Alberta Beef, Proviron may not "shut you down", but in my case at least it certainly seemed to slow down or even stop HPTA recovery.

It would be interesting to see what kind of effect 10mg of AM var/dbol (or 25mg proviron) a day does to someone who has a fully functional HPTA prior to beginning.
*using bloodwork of course* say for like an 8 week period.
