I'm using Muscle Juice while currently on a bulking cycle. It has a lot of sugar though. Can anyone recommend a good weight gainer that doesn't have so much sugar?

I haven't seen a weight gainer yet that wasn't sugar-based.

How about some good old fashioned food?

Let us see your diet.

I'm thinking some whole wheat pasta, brown rice. Adding in some fats like Udos Oil and natty peanut butter.

I`m really much more into shakes with powdered oatmeal (60grams worth) with a fruit, yogourt and whey. It is easy to take with you and get the 100 gram of carb mark per meal and real easy on the budget. Natural peanut butter is always good to add and frozen fruits. Three of these shakes a day makes it real easy to follow a day in day out.

I add a bit of olive oil to my shakes.
Muscle juice is overated just use the above suggestion of oatmeal+whey and water or milk.

Diet is everything just because you drink a weight gainer doesnt mean youll gain weight lol.

Edit: Not that I haven't used muscle juice, it was one of my fav supplements.

I don`t get your post. You say oats, fruit, yogout and whey is overated? That itself is much bettter than muscle juice, and better than a shake plus olive oil (fats) something that is in the shake I recommend and then some. If you drink many of these shakes you will gain weight.

My diet is solid. Chicken breast, steak, a helluva lot of tuna. Oats, and more oats. I'm using the Muscle juice on top of this to aid in bulking.

From what I gather Muscle Juice is not the highest quality of protein, and thats what you want is a quality whey. So spend the money on a good whey and add things to it as suggested. It will be much more beneficial in the long run trust me.

Cytogainer by Cytosport. 580 cals per serving, 6 grams of sugar. Tastes really good too.

My current diet:

7:30 AM: Muscle Juice shake, 1 banana

10:30 AM: 1 Cup brown Rice OR 1 cup of Oats, Fat free Yogurt. Protein Bar.

1:00 PM: 1 Cup Brown Rice OR 1 cup of Oats, Chicken Breast or Tuna Cakes, Steamed Broccoli and/or carrots.

4:00 PM: Same as previous meal except meat may be replaced with Steak or Lean pork chops.

6:00 PM: Muscle juice shake

8:00 PM: 1 Cup of Oats with sugar free jam.

This is basically what I'm doing right now. I do add in things like yams and peas to mix things up. I do cheat on Sundays, but even that is in moderation. I just got back from S&H health store and picked up a 6lb tub of Whey. Gonna experiment a little with making my own shakes. I can't handle the sugar in the muscle juice anymore. Feel free to make suggestions guys, I'm hear to learn.

There's really no need to eat a hell of a lot of tuna if you're bulking. Use ground beef instead --> make chilli or mix it with brown rice/corn.

edit: Maybe i'm just ****ing crazy but in all the years i've seen peoples diets I've never seen anyone do the shit I do with ground beef. I make a giant pot of chilli or the rice/ground beef mix and its 5 servings per pot. That's 10 meals....

I really don't like Tuna.. probably feels like I eat more then I actually do. Just one of those foods I don't enjoy.

How many scoop of muscle juice do you use, mixed in water or milk? You gotta add some protein in that last meal. Cytogainer as suggested is a good gainer, just don`t see the need for that much protein per serving if you use the 4 scoops recommended and if you did you`d go through a 6lber a every 6 days using 3 servings a day. If you were to use 3 scoops, you`d need to add some outside carb source like a fruit. Something you could try is eating sweet potatos with ground beef, very easy to cook and eat, sweet potatoes go down nicely.

That looks pretty good, a little high in the protein although many will argue it`s fine... How much do you weight?

Just wanted to point something else out. When you drink the gainers you`re getting about 140 grams of carbs. Your breakfast already has alot of carbs with the gainer you don`t need the banana. If you want to include the banana, mix the shake with one cup milk one cup water to compensate for the calories. I noticed you`re drinking one of them late in the day, if ět`s as a post workout or second post workout meal I`d say it`s o.k. but it`s still alot of carbs. What I would do if I were you is spread out the carbs some more. I would take away 40 grams of carbs from meal #5 and add it to meals #3 which only has about 60 totaling 100 now. Same for meal #4, add the carbs you`re taking from bed time and put them there about 40 grams or so.

Here`s why you now have 500 grams of carbs total which should be enough. One thing you haven`t had much of all day is fat. That`why your pre bed time shake should be just whey plus 2 tbs of natural peanut butter.

Now you might say to yourself, I`m already buying muslce juice and don`t want to spend more on protein. Here`s the thing, it will be even cheaper if you bought 15 lbs of whey for a month or so than going through all the muslce juice and make the shakes as I suggested earlier in the thead. The oatmeal mixes real well when powdered. Just put the protein and oatmeal in a shaker with a fruit on the side then maybe eat some yogourt or snack on some trails mix as it`s dense in cals.

Just wanted to add that at 15% you`re pushing the limits of when it`s time to cut, if you find yourself getting too fat, you could eliminate the carbs from meal #5 as well and you`d still be getting enough carbs.
