when did they add the shoot out to decide it? to me i would keep it like a playoff game. otherwise they just extended the skills competition.

of all allstar major league games i have to admit it shows nothing like what a real game is as opposed to other ones. isn't there supposed to be hitting in hockey at least in the NFL it's not touch you have to tackle the ball carrier.

hey UKRAINIANGUY how can we rate this.... i'm not the webmaster... 500 days until the World Cup of soccer. if i'm still here we'll do a pool...

if i was a player in that all star game, i would drop the gloves, and fight! Not a real fight, but jokingly you know, and yeah get 5min penalty. But so what! Be in the record books, only player 2 get 5 for fighting. I would goof around on the ice have fun , maybe pull down the pants of a ref! Get sum laughs and in the end, some memories too!

This event is stupid keep the skills comp take out the game. I like what they did with the skills comp but the game omg its stupid soo slow no hitting nothing like watching girls hockey..

DREGER: NHL THREATENS TO SUSPEND ABSENT ALL-STARS

[COLOR=black]The Pittsburgh Penguins have no intention of testing NHL commissioner Gary Bettman's threat to suspend those who choose not show in Montreal for this weekends All-Star festivities.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/?name=sidney+crosby) is en route to Montreal and will arrive early this afternoon to fully participate in all off-ice All-Star activities.

The NHL says it will enforce an understanding that all players who decline to show after being named to the All-Star teams must miss at least one game before or one game after the All-Star weekend.

NHL vice-president Colin Campbell said that the league pushed for the rule because too many players were skipping the game without good reason.

''We've all got obligations to the fans, the rights holders - this game is being televised around the world,'' Campbell said.

Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/?name=nicklas+lidstrom) and Pavel Datsyuk (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/?name=pavel+datsyuk) will have to sit out a game next week as punishment for skipping this weekends event. Neither player will lose salary.

''I feel bad for Nicklas Lidstrom (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/?name=nicklas+lidstrom),'' said Campbell. ''He's been here how many years now? It's unfair that he gets caught in this web.''

Detroit's next game is Tuesday night in Columbus. The NHL's policy does not apply to players in Saturday's YoungStars game. The league says the YoungStars game was done consensually with the players who want to be there.

uk-guy man you rock... think a soccer champions league pool would go. each weekly winner we could give 5lbs of protein. lol i'll pay for it... for the grand prize final a replica shirt of the winning team. i'd order 2 for the game and keep the loser's so the winner gets it just after the game like 5 days.
