How much water per day do you feel is necessary to maintain hydration (and an anabolic cellular environment) without overhydrating?

Off season 4-6L 0 feel good at this level and flushing toxins out.
Dieting (any type) 8-12L - helps with water control during the dieting process. In short, I dry out better. Plus for competition is aids me when I drop my water. I drink the 8-12L right up til 24 hours out and then cut ALL water.

precont I drink all distilled water only, cook with it everything.
Normally I drink as much as I can and dont bother trying to figure how much. I drink as much as I can though. BBers in general are dehydrated most of the time unknowingly. I been adding LBA's into my diet and they will help with hydration too from the glycerine. But another good idea is to add 15-20mls to a L of water will work well at keeping you hydrated.
what is LBA?

Comments like this are far from being scientific. How can you know if the do not know? Don't mean to bust your balls. I am just looking for fact and not conjecture. Does anyone have any REAL studies that show what daily water requirements are?

5-8 lites...would love to hit 10 litres but that is a ton of water. Without that much water i start bloating on cycle and feel like crap.

I try to drink a gallon of liquids a day but I don't differentiate between special forms of water or water in my milk.

4L min per day, anything less and I feel lethargic and bloat real easy. I have read somewhere that with increased protein and "other sups" you should try for 3-4 cups with each meal. At 6 meals per day that is 18-24 cups per day, don't know if that equals 4 L or not but I find it simple for me to fill a 4L jug and drain it. I drink only reverse osmosis water and try to stay away from tap water, just my personal preference.

If I drink more then 5L a day, I end up taking a piss every 5 minutes.

Why is that? I had something written but I'm not sure it makes sense. Now I'm just curious.

one way to check if your are drinking enough water is if your urine is yellow or not, of course excluding after you have taken your vitamins, everyone probally knows that though,.i think everyone is different in there water requirements, i know i do not seem to need alot at all unless it is hot outside or I am very active, but others probally need more, bigger people with muscles certainly need more than smaller individuals probally, all in all I might drink a litre to a litre and a half per day on average but it has be as high as a gallon and a half.

I average about 6L a day. I have a Kangen water machine and I notice a huge difference from that alone.
