Does anyone know of any good free anti virus/spywear programs out their. I have Norton already and run it regularly but my computer still seems kind of slugish the last week or so. So im thinking of adding another program to see if their might be somthing that norton is missing.

I like Eset Nod32. It's not free, unless you download from torrent site, warez site. But no one would do that, right. They have 30 day trial @ homepage.

Another vote for AVG if your looking for free anti-virus.

Thanks for all the feed back guys. I was about to install avg onto the computer and my wife told me not to have 2 anti-virus/spyware programs on the computer at the same time. because it will slow the computer down alot. Is this true?.

What you do not want is 2 real time scanners running at once. This is because you can get system locks from AV programs trying to control the file at the same time.

I have AVG running in real time and have Super Antispyware and Spybot as stand alone scanners. If you want to pay the money, $20 I think, you can activate the realtime scanner on SuperAntispyware for better protection.
