Hi, Im a 21 year old female and im not entirely new to working out...but I do need some advice and some questions that need answers to.
Ive been playing soccer for 11 years now, play twice a week. And I also n ow go to the gym 4-5 times a week. My boyfriend started up 3 months ago, he had joined a body building forum months ago to help him, and met up with some people to help him with exercises, tips and such. He has helped me quite a bit so far with first 2 weeks, I do weights and low intensity cardio 3 times a week, and core and high intensity cardio 1-2 times a week. I've noticed in the last 2 weeks or so, i've gained 2-3 pounds instead of losing. Now I have been told that I will gain muscle so how much I weigh shouldnt really matter. But I want to lose at least 12lbs, and about 10% body fat.
What Im wondering, which Im hoping you experienced women can help me with...
I want to take some natural pills to help, Im not a fan of things like hydroxycut and NV...I've tried it, it makes me feel extremely sick.
Im thinking of taking Apple Cider Vinegar pills and possibly CLA/ALC, do these work? Any advice. Can they be taken together?
Anything helps, thanks so much.

apple cider vinegar ive never heard of it helping with fat loss, but i have used CLA. the only issue is i only saw benefits at 6 grams a day.
green tea ive used too and it made me crash hard! like literally pass out while sitting... i didnt like it, couldnt function. it also dried out my throat initially but that side effect went away after a few days.
my mother has used both these products and shes planning on using them again.

my mom did some sort of "cleansing diet" for a week. she could only drink juice (i dont remember what kind) with a little bit of honey during the day (i think), but she could drink as much of it as she wanted (no whole food). i am not sure of the name, you are supposed to be on it for 10 days, but she had to stop after 7 since she was loosing so much weight. shes almost 50 now she did it last year for my bro's wedding.

good luck on reaching your goal, have a look at the diet and nutrion subforum there is a topic about "girlfriend diets" should give you some ideas :)

Meal 1?
Meal 2?
Meal 3?
Meal 4?
Meal 5?

Give us your diet as mentioned and we'll help you tweak it to start.

Have you tried ECA? Also welcome to the forum and where are you from :D

Hemp Protein powder as a meal replacement

100 cals per serving
14 grams protein
5 grams of fibre

Drink this for your last two meals of the day and you will lose weight without any stimulants. CLA does work. Ask around at your local supplement stores to see if they sell L-Carnitine. This is an amino acid that helps target fat stores for usable energy, thus increasing your fat burned during exercise.

HI:welc I would have a hard time posting my diet when I was months out because i never would want to eat the same thing ever day. These guys on here are not very adventurous and eat the same thing day n and day out. Just try to give us an idea of the basic menu items.

It may just need to have some tweaking done, like changing your carbs over to higher energy ones. Maybe some good fats added in. I ate only a few bars a week, not daily. Ditch them for some real food!

I understand you don't want to take stuff like Hydroxycut and that would most likely include ECA too. But, some people are able to use the C and the A and get good results. So consider Caffeine and a low dose 80mg aspirin with out Ephedine in the mix..

It's going to give you energy when you lower the carbs, not edgy and a sick feeling.

Yes, I used apple cider vinegar. It's suppose to aid in digestion and decrease appetite. It's rich in vitamins and is very healthy for you. I took so much of it though that I started having problems with my bladder. What looked and felt like an infection but no bacteria was ever found. Inflammation of the lining. But I was also pouring it on my fish, my salads as well as taking capsules.

CLA I took. Here is some info on it. Some are claims IMO.
Works by reducing fat and increasing muscle.
Appetite suppresant and fat reducer.
Lose weight and keep it off.
1 to 2 pounds per week of weight loss.
"Inhibits" the body's ability to store fat.
"Prompts" the body to use stored fats as energy.
Feel better while dieting.
Reduce blood pressure.
Reduce LDL. Reduce Triglycerides.
Protect against breast cancer.

ALC Acetyl L-Carnitine I took it too.
ALC is not found in foods. It enables dietary fats to better be converted to energy and muscle.

Both ALC and carnitine are important in weight-loss because they act as natural anti-inflammatories and aid in transportation of fats to be burned to generate energy. They also enhance the sensitivity of insulin receptors, helping to decrease blood sugar and circulating levels of insulin.

booo L-Carnitine, too expensive, didnt notice anything after 1 bottle.
if you can find it for cheap (which i doubt) maybe worth a try... remember different supps work for diff people.

bump the green tea. get matcha, which is ground pure green tea, and take it daily. It will help speed up metabolism.
Ephedrine is in most of those hydroxycuts, etc. Ephedrine will help, but if you do not want, I dont blame you.

Well thanks everyone for your replies. Every little bit helps.
My diets nothing extreme, like I said, Im not planning on being a body builder, I just want to lose a few pounds and tone up.
Every morning I have a bowl of cereal, and apple cider, CLA/ALC, and green tea pills. The apple cider and green tea I take 3 times a day, no crashing of any kind that I feel, I havent noticed anything.
I have a snack at 10am, a protein shake. 12:30pm I have lunch, sandwhich, banana, yougurt.
Snack again at 2 30, just a piece of fruit again.
I have a protein shake or a bar before the gym at 5, then dinner at 7:30 or so..
Any specific foods that are easily obtainable that are high in fibre and protein? Something that I could have for lunch or a snack thats really good for me...
Thanks so much guys.

what kind of cereal are you eating ?? is it high in sugars and carbs? % of milk?
what kind of good fats are you eating? Piece of fruit alone isn't good, you should be having protein/good fats/ with it as well.

What are you eating for your last meal (dinner), if you are consuming alot of bad carbs late at night your body will store it as fat.
