I'm in the midst of building my new place, went all Electrolux.

The range & dishwasher were what sold me on the line. They both seem to have way more interior room than the other brands.

That said, their side by side fridge SUCKS, it's small inside & isn't of any benefit vs the other brands...so I went with the 'Counterparts':

I bought a bunch of new appliances from Sears. The fridge needed service within a week. I asked the service guy what he would buy. He said that most brands come from the same factory. Very few brands actually produce their own products and the guts are the same. He said the one that stood out for him was LG as they not only manufacture all their own stuff but they have the best customer support in the business. If something goes wrong you do not need to beg to have it fixed.

At one time Kitchen Aid was king of the hill. They used stainless parts when everyone else was moving to plastic. This is no longer the case. My mom had old time KA appliances that with 5 loads of laundry and 3 loads of dishes a day they were still going strong 15 years later when they sold that house.

I work in the cable and home theatre industry, and I always recommend LG products. I also have nothing but LG appliances in my home. 2 LG plasma's (42"/50"), LG Tromm front load washer and dryer, Fridge, stove, and dishwasher...

Microwave is a GE...soon to be LG!:ne

PS, if you like LCD...get the Scarlett with TruMotion technology...unbelieveale!

Ya..I decided to go with Fridgidaire Stainless steel fridge/dishwasher/ stove and microwave. Reason is that they have that new technology which has includes Easy Care™ stainless finish to prevent fingerprints.

easy care technology??? Just get your woman to give the appliances a cleaning after she`s done making you supper. And if there`s back talk, threaten to sell the dishwasher. That should keep your kitchen in order.

Ya..I cant complain as she does super and the dishes already. But just going into the show rooms..wow can you ever tell the difference...all the smudges on the appliances accept Fridgidaire.
