What are your reasons for liking or disliking them?

Well they fired me for not selling enough GNC brand products, so I am both not a fan and also I am pretty indifferent because my life is so much better now that they don't even factor in at all.
Its the only place near my house the sells the protein I like.

Are you all stocked up on multivitamins today?
I dont mind them but they seem to always be out of stock of ON Casein in the vanilla flavour. I keep telling them to order more but they dont, dumbasses.

I find there prices to not be as competitive as you can find online. So i find myself using online sites rather than using GNC just simply becuase of price. The GNC in my area (Windsor) doesnt carry the products i need usually so i dont go in their much.
1. Employees who can barely speak english.
2. Inflated prices (related to mall locations and high overhead)
3. Employees with little to no knowledge of functional sports / bodybuilding nutrition
4. Employees who reccommend supplements that have NOTHING to do with your goals
Bowlcut said it best. They recommend the supplements that they will make the best commission on rather than what you would actually benefit from. I have had nothing but terrible experience with them and will never shop there again.

I'll go in on occassion if I am out somewhere without a meal and need something to eat. I'll pick up an RTD and protein bar to tide me over til I can get to a meal.
There prices are pretty damn expensive. I think the only thing ive bought from there was a bodyfat caliper.

I love GNC, I print out the best deal I can find on the internet and they always match the price.
but ya alot of people that work there have no knowledge about bodybuilding and they always try to push their stupid multi's on everyone.

i used to buy from GNC about 10 years ago...now there's just so many better supplement companies out there. I honestly can't remember the last time I stepped foot in a GNC though...it's been a while.
I remember one time for fun I went in there and quizzed this one lady on what was in one of their NO2/creatine pre-workout supplements. It was too much fun to watch her stumble all over the words and make up ingredients and uses for this product. She could BARELY speak english and was clearly related to the mgmt staff there. I can be a dick....

LOL. I do the same thing but at stores like Future Shop and Best Buy. I go in and start talking to the computer sales guys. Those guys have no clue. They will try and sell you what makes them the most amount of commission. I have even gone as fare and listen in on them lie to other customers and then correct them. They get so pissed when I mess up their sale. But I get pissed that they are lying. So F them. Oh and Yeah GNC is way overpriced.

That is so true. I actually have seen and know a few big guys and one who I was told competes who work at GNC. Have also seen some where I just say to myslelf what the ****. Even once heard a guy say I don`t know anything about supplements! The bottom line is GNC is a business and they are there to make money. Of course they will try to pimp the stuff like the multies that give them the most profit. Because most likely if you don`t buy it there you will somewhere ele in their minds, so in a sense, it`s push push push...
I was even considering working there as a little side line. Staff discount is really good and the overall pay is not that bad for doing something very similar to what we do on this board. Even asked my friend if I had to play up the gnc line and he said no.

The owner of the store I work at runs a business as well. The difference being we dont take advantage of any clients or any possible lack of knowledge regarding training or nutrition. This is how we have survived being alongisde the giants in this industry. Come in to the store when I'm working and I'll tell you how it is, not what you want to hear, or what makes a good profit.

^^^ you in montreal? And what makes you think I need to be told how it is!!! Ha ha ha. Just kidding dude, or maybe I`ll stay in your store all day and contradict what you say to the customers, like you did in futur shop, then when you attack me I`ll yell you`re out of control and take steroids. Ah, ha, ha... But seriously you in montreal?

Hahahah!! Me too, was in recently to get a beater PC for a friend.. the guy was trying to hustle me on the $100 warranty plan ( they make very little profit on PC's there if any )
He's like if you buy this $200 warranty plan, and your DVD Burner starts burning bad CD's, we'll replace it for you!
Uhh, so you're gonna charge me $200 to replace a $24 part? And why would you sell me a junk DVD burner to begin with, doesn't that fall under the 1 year manufacturers warranty? :D
People must get raped so bad there if they don't know what's up.

well, a GNC just opened up in my city and me and my bro went to check it out, well we were there for a bout 7 mins in that time a guy bought some multivitamins, and a chick was looking for something to give her energy to do cardio, pipes McGee recommended superpump 250 by gaspari (I guess that was the most expensive) she asked "does that work for women?". She had no ****in idea what she was buying. In the end she walked out paying alot of money for something she didnt need. Piss on GNC. I will go somewhere else for my nano-molecularly partitioned isolate whey.

Their prices are wayyyyyyy to high. It is so much cheaper to go online, buy a bucket of protein or whatever, and have it shipped to me. However, the GNC's I have visited (2), have had good people working there who actually do know what they are talking about.
