currently for my cutter my protein sources are

1. whey isolate
2. egg whites
3. lean turkey slices
4. chicken breast
5. tilapia or tuna

i would like to know if i can have the cosco kirkland lean beef sirloin patties once or twice a week for dinner or even better yet for lunch since its earlier in the day (i know their higher in fat esp saturated fat) but i use george foreman grille and it takes alot of fat out and dries them up.

im 10 weeks out, so maybe i can stop this and replace with all lean sources 4-6 weeks out?

thanks guys :)

If they're like the superstore lean burgers then they only have something like 12g of fat per patty (and 20g protein). I dont' see why you can't indulge if it works with the rest of your diet.

Thats a big ifff.... what are you running for a diet? Cals? macro ratios? breakdown meal to meal? I mean thats a fair bit of fat to protien ratio

if your running a lean protein with carbs diet.... i wouldnt be eating those. if you NEED red meat buy extra lean (<8%) beef or even better buffalo. brown it and rinse it under boiling water.

If your 10 weeks out and want to come in a shredder--->AVOID those thangs!!!

Go with a nice lean cut of steak instead a few times a week, will help with fullness I find.

inside round, top sirloin, top round

basically if you cook it and it dries out even when cooked rare... you are good to go. The above cuts are the leanest cuts (little fat if trimmer properly)

striploin roast goes on sale pretty often that's what i'm living off.. $2/LB.. I buy like $150 worth of roasts and freeze them. One roast makes enough small steaks on the BBQ to last you 2-3 weeks.

Just trim off the outer layer of fat and it's practically all meat from there.

JonnyO ,

I have witnessed this with alot of friends who were doing shows. Almost seems like the lil bit of saturated fat with the right amino profile fills out the physique.

what are your thougths on the reasons y it fills you out?

well i thought we were talking all other things the same. IE fitting beef into ur diet without changin caloric intake.

and I mean you can get unsaturated and efa fats from other sources and they do not seem to fill u out like beef does. nor does just taking in saturated fats IE junk food .... this is why i am thinking it has somethign to do with the specific amino make up of beef mixed with saturates.

I never really count calories so who knows.

oddly enough I don't really either.

I put the plan together and adjust from there. If I am looking to bulk I start off with a base plan consisting of 6 meals and adjust from there. Same with dieting.
