I use a magic bag that you throw in the microwave but ppl are wondering why i use a compress 2x a week every week. Has ne1 tried those creams or gels like icy hot? Do you like em?

i was told those could potentially start an abcess at injection points....although i have used them in the past..i dont anymore...dont even bother with heat.......buck up! lol

those creams are topical...they really don't have any effect below the layer of the skin.

Hot Water Bottle. I had one of those magic bags but I find that the HWB lasts a lot longer and warmer.

Its a gym bag with a hole cut in the bottom (he calls it the MAGIC BAG). He hangs out on park benches and pretends to be rummaging around in it....BUT really he is playing with the spitting cobra (man snake)...

I have dealt with an abcess not to long ago (just prior to xmas). Heat great for blood flow and antibodies within the bloodstream to attack infection (eg abcess). However, I don't know that heat alone is just the answer. I do use a magic bag shortly after injection and then alternate with ice paks to reduce swelling.
