Ya i know before Shoguns last fight he was Ranked 1st.
Also Brock was Ranked 5 or 6,and he won his last fight and he is now 10th very odd for both fighters.

Heres the part I don't get...... Machida gets KO'd in 30 seconds by Shogun, and goes down to #2 in the rankings.
Carwin beats Brocks ass for all the first round, gasses and gets submitted.... and drops down to #6?
Opinions anybody? I'm thinking that Carwin put in a much better showing than Machida........

Carwin looked like a turtle on his back

True..... But thats after Brock looked like a turtle trying to pull his head back in his shell while backpeddling/running for the whole first round.

I guess the point is that Carwin looked a lot better than Machida IMHO... Much more competitive fight.... Carwin dominated until he got caught in a choke, very similar to the Sonnen/Silva fight IMHO.

Cog.... Good point about machida getting gun shy... Lot of guys are never the same after getting Ko'd hard..... specially guys like Machida that fight defence first and don't like getting hit......

Have a good weekend guys.

Yep... Carwin exposed brocks's weakness, Cain followed the same plan and picked his shots better.

Brock doesn't like getting hit, thats 2 fights in a row now that he's literally turned his back and ran when he got hit.
IMHO thats the end of Brock Lesnar in MMA. Not many fighters can get beaten down like that and come back the same..... IMHO Brocks achilles has been exposed... If Brock can't take a guy down, he's ****ed.
Brock was supposedly the far superior wrestler too..... He couldn't take Carwin down, couldn't take Couture down, and Cain actually took him down.... And got back up.

I'm fukin lovin it lol...... Anybody still actually think Brock is superoir to Fedor?

Thats what $$$ behind your promotor will do for ya.

I guess lesnar at #2 would be legit IF he was the #1 guy before losing to Cain.
Thats a ****in big if though....... Guys like what, 6-1? Guy with 7 fights the #1 in the world? Even after Carwin exposed him big time ( and Carwin drops to # 7?).

Oh well, looks like ol Brock's headed back to WWE anyways.......

The rankings are a joke, money and politics is all they are.
BJ had to be the #1 before the Edgar fights, shouldn't drop out of the top 10 because 1 guy has his number.

IMHO Overeem should be higher than 7 too...... He ****in destroyed Rogers, threw him around like a bitch. I'd really like to see him in the UFC or against Fedor, guys a wrecking ball.

I'm thinking that most of thouse guys are on something, I even read last week that Dan henderson is on HRT just like Sonnen claims to be.... Overeem looks like a juice monster though lol, guys like 270 with world class striking, he just won the K1 again last week.

He was tested before Rogers fight. He's clean. I mean, his results were clean. :)
Plus, he's always trying to fight Fedor or Werdum in US, so he's not afraid of drug testing in US.

edit: He weighed in at 120.9kg or 266lbs in his documentary (right before the K1 final)
So, he's still smaller than Carwin or Lesnar. Both of them have to cut about 10lbs to make 265. And they test clean.

Basically, I can't wait to see him fight anyone in mma. :)

Overeem fought at 205 once upon a time, didn't he?Fedor's manager says Overeem is a steroid monster or something to that effect, which is why Fedor won't meet him.The passport deal that the British cyclists have adopted really is the only answer,I believe it creates a profile with history.A German doctor first proposed this more than twenty years ago,he's mentioned in one of DiPasquale's books, but nobody wanted any part of real drug testing.Russian roulette at the moment.

Overeem's put on a ton of muscle in the last few years, don't know exactly what weight but look at his older fights on youtube.

I agree current testing is a joke, I saw an interview with Victor Conte and he claims he can beat just about any testing Olympic Style included with no problems. I also saw an interview with Chieck Congo and he claims 80% of MMA guys are using. The current urine testing post fight is an absolute joke, kinda makes me think the organizations are somewhat in colusion kinda like baseball in the late 90's or wrestling in the 80's.
I really get a big kick out of how many guys will vehemently defend Manny, and try to claim his innocence by promoting thats he's never failed a test.... a urine test post fight lol...... The ****ing guy turned pro at about 105, now he's chasing down and beating down guys @ 150 +.....

Think he's got a fight with Ryan Bader next, that should be a better step up..... Think Baders still undefeated too..... I think Jones is still a kid ( like early 20s ) so Dana is bringing him along slowly, knows he could be the future.
The guy is an insane athlete for sure.

Interesting- Machida is #4 but Dana is saying he's in a must win situation against Couture.
Overeem's still #6.
Belfort isn't even top 10..... I didn't really think beating up on poor old Rich Franklin deserved a title shot anyways..... Franklin is completely shot......

Who has predictions for this weekend?

Forrest over Franklin, 100%.

Jones/bader I'll take Bader, wtf....... Jones hasn't really been tested yet.

Silva/Belfort, depends on which Belfort shows up. I'm taking Silva.

Vitor goes to the top of the rankings tonight..

Vitor's not even in the top 10 right now, just to be devil's advocate I'd say that beating up a completely shot Franklin, terry martin & matt lindland isn't really worthy of a title shot.....

When Vitor wins he looks great, when he loses he looks like he doesn't even want to fight...... Ya never know though, 1 punch from a guy who can hit could do it........

Heres a link......usually pretty good.
