Aspirate but i cant see?

So i am doing a shot in my rear but i cant twist around to see(lol,this will be my first time)How high up do i pull the syringe up until i push it all the way down?

use the bathroom mirror.

dont understand your question, but aspirating is a light pressure. quite light. you will see a little bubble appear and/or grow upon aspiration pressure

Not far, just enough to create some vacuum to see if you've hit a vein. If you can't see stand beside a mirror.

My question was if i cant see what i am doing how do i know it has aspirated,but the bubble will tell me it has,i thought i had to pull up a certain distance.Thanks for the quick relplies,another quick question ,was does ED mean?i keep seeing for example 50 mg ED a week?

ED = Every day. EOD = Every other day.

If you pull the plunger back a bit and hold it there and you don't notice any blood you're fine, assuming you're in the muscle..

dont pull too hard when aspirating. just enough to put slight negative pressure

Man, I find aspirating really ****in difficult... twisting around is already tough as it is, but then trying to pull back on the plunger, ever so lightly meanwhile it seems like it's glued stiff... all this with one hand because I'm trying to hold back the skin (z method) with my other hand... argh!

yep just like the guys above said, just pull on it until you see bubbles. you'll either see clear bubbles or blood. now sometimes when i aspirate i see alot of tiny little bubbles or one larger bubble, either is fine. just as long as you dont see any blood. :) good luck on your first injection.

If you have ever watched a nurse or a Dr aspirate..you won't see them do it, it's that fast and just a slight action on the plunger.

yeah! i just take like 1 second and put a slight back pressure with my finger tip, and this is with a one handed injection.

this is the way i just did it, went on back then put right leg over the left leg so the hip was sticking up in the air, very easy to shoot into the glute and aspirate. was my first glute shot, pain free didnt even feel the needle puncturing the skin

It's been the always the way I do it...it's the lazy way..but hey you can take your time and relax and get your bum relaxed in the right position so you can get a proper shot every time. Screw the mirror thing and standing on one leg...and the muscle twitching all over the place.
