This is my first cycle using amps.

I'm using Aburaihan Test E which is very thick and using 22g needles to draw (I was paranoid to suck up some glass particles with a 18g)

When I'm drawing from the amp with the 22g, I end up getting a lot of air inside the syringe...is it because I'm impatient and I'm pulling too hard on the plunger?

With yesterday's shot, I had 2cc of air at one point so I had to push some air out..and lost some gear in the process. :(

Yes, your drawing to hard, but it's normal if pin was larger would be less air, as to draw would be easier. Man, i dont know how much glass you'll draw.? Some are fairly good st scoring amps and snapping neck with file. when you then push air out, ya expect to loose VERY little amount, which IS good, as you lube outter part of pin and make shots easier. Makes for easy injection

Leave the amp in a cup of warm water for a few minutes.. it should go smooth through a 22, I nuked mine for 6 seconds and it goes smooth through a 25.

This will also make it so you don't have to pull so far back on the plunger. Good luck!

Thanks for the help! :tu

Just did another injection.

I put my amp in a ziplock bag and let it soak in very hot water in the sink for a few minutes.

I was patient drawing and didn't draw any air...so all good :)

I don't think it's a good idea to microwave your gear.

I used 18ga pins even when glass got in the amp. I had no problems.

To get out air draw the plunger back so the pin is clear and with the pin end down shake the syringe a couple times fast and hard like you are trying to get the last out of the ketchup bottle. This will collect all the air together so when you hold it pin end up the air will collect to the top and you simply push it out. Push until most of the air is out and switch pins to a 25ga. Push the rest of the air out until you see a dribble.....No gear lost.

No need for a zip bag. Drop it into a glass of hot tap water for few min. Score it with a file or small toothed blade and just before you snap it open, wipe it with an alcohol pad.

I recently began using 18g pins to draw and it is sooo much easier than using a 23g or so with amps.

You don't think? meaning your are unsure? So ya since when cant you heat heat up your oil in the plastic part of the syringe in the microwave for say 30 seconds? Some type of contamination I don't know about? :)
