I was looking at zeus, that "natural test booster", the other day. I am normally skeptical of anything that claims to be able to "naturally" do anything. Natural tends to mean "doesn't do shit". But I have seen some good reviews and I've used purple Ks and I thought they were good. Just wondering if anyone has used it. Does anyone think this would be good in a pct?

At roughly a dollar a cap i'd say your money is better spent elsewhere - especially for something as important as your PCT. I wouldn't take the chance.

I wouldn't waste your money. If it could do what it said it could do it would be a steroid and therefore illegal.

Ya that's pretty much my feeling. It certainly wouldn't be the main ingredient in a pct, but I thought it might be good in the periphery.

Anyone actually use it?

yep i used it with regular pct with lots of tribulus my natural production was way high i got it tested :)

ive been looking to order bulk fenugreek online which is the active ingridient but no luck yet

if youre gonna spend the coin id buy tribulus too @ 3g min a day

From my research Trib has the greatest effect on the 40+ crowd and brings Test production into the range of younger males. I suspect that it would help in a PCT but I would not use it exclusively.

Im not so sure fenugreek is the ingredient causing increased test production. I haven't read anything to that effect.

Tribulus on the other hand seems to have a pretty real effect, though a small one. I'm gonna hunt down some of that as part of my pct and see if it helps. Thanks for suggestions.

I seem to recall a paper out that said tribulous had no effect on male test levels....

Maybe google around looking for it, it is another 'all natural' product after all...

ya, from what ive read, its as randy says: tribulus helps older men get back to baseline. the younger men tested would already be at baseline presumably and do not experience any increase above this.

but what about younger men below baseline for ... whatever reason? im commissioning a study of my own.

Trib affects libido through some unknown mechanism, but not by increasing testosterone.
That's what i last read on the subject a few yrs ago

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the herbal preparation Tribulus terrestris (tribulus) on body composition and exercise performance in resistance-trained males
Fifteen subjects were randomly assigned to a placebo or tribulus (3.21 mg per kg body weight daily) group.

say the average athlete weighs 90kg then they would be ingesting 289mg of tribulus(not extract) a day.

the recomended dose is 3000mg of trib extract

Dont get me wrong, im not trying to prove tribulus doesnt work, but it should be stated that there isnt alot of conclusive evidence supporting it for use in bodybuilding. As you can clearly see, there isnt any evidence that it doesnt either. Im still searching.

I'v never seen any gains appearance wise with trib but I do love the feeling when I take it (need to take 3500-5000mg though), makes me feel warm fuzzy and really horny.

i used zeus and it made me feel like i was on shrooms almost. i did use double doseage however, and i had bloodwork done at the conclusion of my run and my test levels had jumped significantly.

edit* i was also using melatonin to aid in my sleep, and i still use it. fusion also markets a product called SHUTEYE that works very well at keeping you asleep with a comination of melatonin and two chinese herbal ingredients that are used as anti anxiety, and insomnia treatment. i have heard very good things from guys i know that are using it to help them stay asleep at night.

ZMA works awsome for sleep aid (if you can handle the dreams). Probably the only supplement I'v used that I knew was worth it on the first dose.

LOL thats true as well. my buddy told me about his dream when he was using ZMA consistently. vivid dreams are a direct correlation to deeper sleep, hence more test production no?

Thats what I was always told (about the test production), I wish people would value their sleep more than they do.

i find this to be true. most people refer to sleep as a catabolic time as you arent eating for hours on end, but this is the time your body produces the hormones needed to grow. correct me if im wrong but you grow in your sleep, not in the gym right?

as a side note to that, I have read that taking melatonin before you work out actually increases the growth hormone released.
