Why 2 needles to inject?

Why use 1 needle to draw and another to pin?What is wrong with using the same needle for both?Any germs or bacteria have already passed threw and are sitting in the syringe so why the change of needle?

Its becouse you want the one that goes in you to have the sharpest point possible .
Usually wat most do ( or I do ) is use a larger pin like a 18g or 22 g to draw , this makes it easyer to draw . then use the 23 , 25 or whatever you use to inject .
once you insert the pin into the vial , it will dull the tip enough to cause more scar tissue than a sharp fresh one.

Using just one will do okay too. It will only be more painful (more scar tissue) and take more time to draw

23g is a bitch to draw with if you're drawing more than 1 ml

Take it from the guy who used to use the same needle more than 20 times, to draw from amps, vials etc... and then stick it in me... over and over...

Pins are cheap... treat yourself to a new one after you draw...

Needles are very soft and burrs form with even the slightest touch...

The pins get dull as you push through the rubber plunger. Also, it's a good idea to wipe your spot with alcohol right before you pin and leaving the used needle uncapped while you disinfect the spot just increases the chance of getting an infection.

Pins are cheap...so just use new ones. It's not worth getting an infection over a few cheap pins.

you do lose a tad of gear in the needle tip, it does add up eventually.


...but I still swap for fresh needle.

With DB i had to change the needle all the time.With Terumo i don't need to change the needle very sharp.But many people use safety so they change the needle.

another nice thing about the two needle shuffle is that the needle you inject hasn't touched anything.

looks like BS to me. ive drawn from like 4 different vials with my 25g before then pinned myself with it and it didnt seem or look any different.

i'm willing to bet money i could pull it out and stick it in through the stopper 100 times and still have a normal injection.

i kinda find that diagram way off as well, but do like to have a fresh pin into skin., i remember days where you'd have like 4 bottles your stacking threw week, and poke a little outta all, and still shot, but now know better, and draw with 18's and shot with 25's, plus if you draw and shot with 21 takes forever to draw and can go in to fast if your rushed, i find the 25ga lol no matter what goes in slow.. and sweet
hell, i remember old UG winny, lol needed an 18 alone to shot, lol like harpoon, that STILL plug, man, gears come a long way
