Man, they're retarded down here. I just tried to buy some insulin needles, told them it was for Vitamin B12 injections. They told me I need a prescription?!

So I said fine, how about if I buy them for insulin then.. Nope, don't need a prescription for insulin.. but I have to buy the insulin from them with the needles. Are they retarded?? So any joe shmoe can go in and buy a potentially fatal product no questions asked, but to buy needles for a harmless injectable vitamin a prescription is needed.

Retarded.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised you don't need a script for insulin.. but I read up on it and it's considered a life saving thing.. that and adrenaline.

I found the law pertaining to syringe sales OTC in California. As of 2005, there was a bill passed that allows the sale of up to 10 syringes without a prescription.

So the THREE different people I spoke with in the pharmacy were either unaware of the 3 year old law change, or they were f'in with me.

I'll try another pharmacy. If I still get the runaround, I'll just order from getpinz.com.

Go in search of a needle exchange program maybe? Ask a street person if they exist?

Its recently legal over there, but a study showed a third of drug stores won't give needles to you without a script

No surprise. Doctors rarely have a clue, I wouldn't expect a pharmacists to know any better.

I've come across some incredibly dumb pharmacists, makes me wonder what kind of schooling they take.

not really, if some diabetic drops his jug of slin on the ground by accident, and it breaks, does he really need to waste time and tax payers money to go get a script? Not only that, if he had to go to the hospital to get a shot in an emergency, it would tie up resources better used elsewhere. It makes good sense to me to not tie up an already strained medical system for a very common problem.

what's so silly about it? think of this situation, your a diabetic and you are all out of insulin, if you dont get your shot you will most likely die, so you go to the closest drug store and they deny you because you have no script??? oooops sorry but you just died.. its not retarded at all.. if people want to risk using insulin because they dont need it thats their problem, the pharmacy is only supplying what you require.. RON PAUL FOR PRES!!!

makes sence i guess. but you could always go to the hospital too i guess.
either way its good to know because im going to try out an insulin protocol by Maxititer soon i think.

seems that insulin may not be just for the super advanced bb'r after all
