I just did my first comp last month and thought I would post up some pics. It was quite the learning experience, but luckily I had some close friends that compete, one at the national level that helped me out and that made a world of difference.

I started at #230 and about 22% BF.

I did the Palumbo Diet for 20 weeks into my show and ended up a LHW at #190 at weigh ins. The diet went really well until about 5 - 6 weeks out when I started adding stuff like splenda to my diet as I didn't know that it was a no-no. Definately learned a lot going into my first show. We were hoping that I could make it into the MW class when I first started dieting but as I got closer to the show it became apparent that there was no chance.

I would have liked to have been a little leaner but its my own fault for that in the weeks before the show that I screwed up my diet for a few weeks. Lessons learned I guess. I ended up getting 4th in my weight class, which I am pretty happy about. Here are the pics.

I was a little worried about the tats but 3 coats of pro-tan and 2 of dream tan pretty much took care of that. Its funny cause the guy that won my weight class was worried about it too cause he had a lot of work done and a full back piece.

Fabulous, night and day transformation.

Your future looks good your next season.

by the way..I eat about 3-8 packs of Spenda per day while dieting. It has never caused my body any problems.

It was more than that by a bit. Thought it would be healthier to drink tea than diet pop all day. Being that its a low/no carb diet the extra carbs were enough to make me miserable and make the cravings really bad.

Not sure when I'll compete again. Just found out the wife is pregnant, so that kinda ties up next season.

Sandra Wickham Fall Classic.

Yep that's the one I thought. Your class was pretty tough, the winner looked pretty damn good. He was actually prepped by a CBB member.

I never did my BF % at the comp but at 3 weeks out I was 6%. I Would have liked to be 5# lighter. Had some stubborn spots like the lower abs and love handles, and a little more definition in the legs.

I was pretty worried about my weight class and honestly I thought lots of the guys were bigger than me. I didn't think I would get into the first call out. The guy that won my weight class looked awesome, had an awesome back.

Heres the top five and the entire weight class.

That was awesome... also pretty cool to know pro tan can cover up tatoos like that

I was super nervous leading up to the show cause of the tattoos because they can really hide a lot of definition. But my buddy kept telling me it wasn't an issue. He was sure right.

I'm really curious about the palumbo ketogenic diet.

How quickly did the weight come off?
How was your energy?
How much muscle/strength did you lose?

The visual difference is quite impressive between your before and after.

What impact did coming off the ketogenic diet have?
Have you yo-yo'ed and what's your current weight?

Did you combine this with test? clen? gh?

Sorry for all the questions but the simplicity of the palumbo diet combined with the apparent results make it very appealing. I'm planning to gain weight through the spring, trying to hit 260, but I will likely want to lean out after that as my current bodyfat is not all that far off from your before picture.
