Pennsaid anyone use it? I'm wanting to try it on my elbow of which a bone scan confirmed "severe osteoarthritis". I know it's a script and applied on the skin.

What about Voltaren? Anyone used it? It sounds like it works like the meds I have been on for nearly a year. nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)

goad damn snow..my elbow is killing me again. This week I paid $60 for snow removal in my drive way. i work with new and pregnant moms..my drive, porch and steps must be cleaned when they come here. Another snow fall is going to hit here on Sunday.
This snow is going to cost me! I tried to do it myself this week..and now my elbow is pounding..so is my back. Another broken rib?
Get this...we text messaged the 2 teen aged boys next door for help with removing the snow. NOPE. They were not wanting to help or the cash.
Today their little 10 yr old brother did it along with their dad for $25.
i dunno about those two drugs but i havve a strategy for shoveling snow thats pretty useful right now... you need 2 shovels, 1 with a straight handle and wide "head" on the bottom, this is for pushing the snow to the side of the driveway, the 2nd shovel is one of those light little plastic ones with the curved ergonomic handle, and a narrow head.
so, push all the snow to the side of your driveway with the big shovel, and then use the light little one in a swinging motion from left to right to clear away the snow to the yard, the ergo handle makes it much easier on your back and the narrow head makes the shovelfulls less heavy

I was on voltaren for a while for muscle spasms in my back. Like you said, its just another NSAID and personally I didn't find that it worked any better than just ibuprofen.
For joint issues and inflammation have you tried using bromelain and turmuric/curcumin? That's OTC and I've found it works better than most script stuff.
There is DMSO in it and i have some Vet (dmso 99.99% pure) and it works great, just a little garlic breath.

I'm have been taking Meloxicam. I was away on a short vacation and did not take it regularly because I was not working out. I returned after the trip and went back to some what heavy lifting, I must not have taken enough of it so now my elbow that has severe osteo in it and my back where i broke a rib 20 months ago are now killing me.

I picked up some Voltaren today.. I can treat my elbow with the jell but not my back. I don't have anyone to apply it regularly back there. :( My kids are grossed out doing that. sigh.. I pay to now have my drive shoveled..should I pay to have a jell applied to my back 3-4 x a day too?
Shoveling I pray did not cause me to have a set back or was it the cutting back on Meloxicam that brings back the old aches and pains?
