Apparently I need both if I want the freedom of going back and forth without the anal probing?? Time to get my US one so I don't have to deal with that shit ever again.

Actually in terms of US Customs the police are customs wanna be's. Unlike Canada, the US Customs is basically the top of the law enforcement ladder(besides fbi,cia..etc). They have a much more demanding recruiting process than your local US sheriff or municipal police department and their pay is much much more. They also require more schooling and/or time served in the military.
