Hey everyone, gota quick question here. Monday night I did my first thigh inject ever (only 70mgs script test Enth) and all was well. That night I went to boxing and about halfway through training my vastus lateralis(outer thigh) started getting quite painful/tight. Oddly enough, the pain is about 6-7 inches below where I pinned, but in the same muscle. Originally I thought I strained the muscle, but it feels a little warm today which has me wondering if maybe its something more serious.

Ive read the abscess stickies and whatnot, and if the localized heat doesnt subside by tomorrow I will go get some antibiotics. I have had ZERO issues at all with glutes btw. Personally I think that I may have just irritated some nerves or something or the virgin muscle simply isnt hapy about having a foriegn substance in it.

Oppinions and ideas welcome, thanks.

I dont think you have anything to worry about right now, the warm feeling of your shot happens to me all the time. since its your first time i can see it being pretty soar. my first thigh shot was 1ml eq I still remember because it crippled me haahah.

If it's your first quad shot ever, expect a lot of discomfort. It does get better in time, but to this day quad shots still almost cripple me. My first few I could barely walk for a week after it felt so tight. I wouldn't panic too much yet, but keep an eye on it. I avoid quads unless I have no choice. If it's only 70mg of human grade, that's around .5ml or less, you can get some 5/8" pins and do delts, calves, tri's, bi's. Lots of different options out there.

**Edit: thanks bros** for those that replied disregard what Ive got written underneath.
Yeah, always safe with respect to swabbing and aspirating. There is a bit of redness, but I thinks thats because immediatley after trained I iced it raw for about 30 minutes and got freezer burn. But yeah, its definitley a little warm. Does heat immediatley = infection? or does anyone else have any explaination

watch for fever and excess redness.

Like the others said though, prob just good ol' injection pain. It should feel tight and sore for a few days

no i do not believe that warm automaticaly = infection bro. although im not sayn that it never does.

but id say since you took the shot on monday and its now wed. if its still red at all tomoro id get it checked. but if its not red at all, just sore id say your good to go bro. just a virgin muscle not likeing the fact it was just stabbed lol

I had the same thing, but without the heat and redness. So I guess it's not really the same thing then. Shit.

Anyways, I think the reason you may be feeling pain 6-7 inches below your inj site is because the alcohol content in the oil has sunk inside your leg? Hope that makes sense, but I'd inj halfway up the Vastus Lateralus when I first started and then the next two days I'd feel pain just above my knee.

Does heat immediatley = infection?

no,

I think you'll be fine, put abit of heat on it, and take some advil,

Probably psycosamatic morea than anything else.

As an aside, I have seen redness and heat occur after certain ugl without any infection. Depending on the the conc. of BA. and such irritation can occur- also volume injected.

It will be very red and hot if it is infected and can be that way from irritation as well.

Thanks fellas ... if I start running a fever or something ill go get some anti biotics.

In the meantime ill just stick with glute shots as I havent had any problems thusfar with those.
