Hey all just wondering what the common cbb'er uses on the vitamin/mineral side of supplementation. Whether it be for performance reasons, life extension reasons or to counteract side effects from other substances. Thankfully we are lucky to have pretty much my favorite supplement company in the world based right here in Canada: AOR. If it wasn't for the high prices and them lacking a few products I would pretty much exclusively use AOR products for my vitamin/mineral protocol.

3 grams of vitamin C spread out the day. What first got my attention with vit. C is the cortisol suppresion. 50mcg of B complex (good for stress reduction carbohydrate metabolization) once a day sometimes split in halve for 20- 25mcg doses. 400mg of Magnesium (nerveous system support) with 30mg of zinc (testosterone production) before bed with 400iu of vitamine E (counter the breakdown of free radicals) I also use 1-2 servings of prgressive greens a day ( general health and make up for fact I don`t eat vegetables) Very basic and cost effective. Also take 3 grams of glucosamine and 2 grams of msm a day.

You mention this AOR brand 5151. What is the difference between that and say buying jamieson vitamin C on special for $3. Certain minerals like magnesium and zinc can be argued being better if chelated which makes them a little more epensive. So what`s the advantage with the higher cost brands?

hehehe, nah thats a sweet set up dude, mine was pretty much identical till i entered post secondary and became a broke ass. i think people underestimate the power of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and antioxidants. especially for bodybuilders or functional athletes.

For vitamin C brand really doesn't matter though I trust certain brands more than others. I like NOW and AOR just because this industry can be so ****ing shady. For the other vitamins form is hugely important. Example for vitamin E all 8 isomers are included with gamma being almost as high if not higher than alpha. Vitamin A- beta carotene AND mixed caretenoids. B vits: co-enzyme forms. I was just wondering what people were taking I was thinking of writing an article on vitamin E(I did a little blurb in my "Sifting through the shit thread") as I have entirely too much free time on my hands and I learn best by having to defend my own statements(notice I like to start shit?).

That`s some good info on the vitamin E and B. The vitmamin E I buy is listed as d-alpha tocopheryl acetate from natural source of vitamine E. No gamma anything here, but this is pharmacy bought. Is it even usefull at all?

My b-vitamins say nothing about being co-enzyme form. These were pharmacy bought as well. They`re just plain 100mg b-vitamins and got 120 pills on sale for $10. I did notice though these b-vitamins didn`t make me piss like some of the other ones, maybe it`s a bad sign.
