not to sound liek a jerk.. but your 3 years behind. This is old and its been thrown out in design. For a simple reason : economics. It would be the end of hundreds of tire manufacturers and the states economic situation is bad as is.

They will find a way to make the tire manufacturing company busy replacing them . the ones displayed had a hard rubber spring between the rim and the tire so that would be the week link that would be replaced wich means the tire shops will have to buy new equipment and new training for them ect to keep up in the industry and replacements would take longer than a normal flat . so there still is money to be made for this new tire.
but it would end your tires getting slashed ect and Canadian roads with our pot holes blowing out a tire .
As a profetional driver , when I see this tire , it looks safer since I have driven on the worst roads out there . and this looks like it would hold up more when my kids are in a passanger vehicle.
And they have Goodyear backing them for this so thats somthing . I believe this will be out in the near future.

Oh.. and i dunno where you live but this would be the downfall for montreal tire companies for those potholes probly account for 90% of the sales here! lol *just a joke*
