I snore alot at this weight
I don't think I snore. If I do, its not loud enough to wake myself up

Ive cought myself snoring a few times , but just when it starts to happen .
when I am on a bulking cycle , or if I have been drinking , or if I am extremely tired I will snore
but I have never woke up to a gf with earplugs in yet or brused ribs from her giving me the elbo , so it cant be all that bad

The faster I gain the weight, the more I snoore. If I hold a weight for a while and lean out then the snooring becomes less and less...when the wife stops complaining thats when you know its time to put on more size. :D

The weight-related snoring you guys are describing is likely a symptom of sleep apnea. It hits me hardest when I'm carrying around more muscle [lately not a big problem] and is extremely unhealthy.

Yep, if it gets real bad you may find yourself waking up short of breath because your airways close up.... its ****ing scary and a great incentive to drop a few pounds.
...then again some guys say you aren't really big if you don't own a CPAP.

Used to snore real bad. It got so bad that i was no longer sleeping with my wife, it would wake her up and she would end up sleeping on the couch. I went and had that operation where they lazer that flap of skin in the back of your throat and it worked like a charm!

quality of life is in the toilet if you aren't sleeping. the biggest problem with apnea is that you never get REM sleep; usually you don't even know you've woken up or had a block you just wake up in the morning feeling like you didn't get enough sleep no matter how long you've been down.
I was sleeping 8- 10 hours at night and 1-2 hour naps daily and felt like shit until I was diagnosed and got my first cpap. the cpap saved my life, my marriage and my business. It has been 5 years for me.
Talk to doc if you are snoring and at least get checked; the effects sneak up on you

I guess I`m not really big then because I don`t know what a CPAP is.

is sleep apnea when you wake up due to not being able to breathe?

sleep apnea is when you stop breathing in your sleep, its pretty serious as you are not getting normal sleep and you have many underlying health issues. Mostly it is weight related issues, but sometimes it is caused by genetics.
I snore like a mofo but I have a deviated septum from getting my nose squashed a few times in my youth.

it's an easy test and can be done quickly if you can do it at home as opposed to the sleep clinic. it's eye opening shit when they tell you how often you are waking up each hour and tell you how low your o2 sat was.

This thread is neat.
I used to walk, talk, and beat my pillow in my sleep. I've also had problems at the time when I'm just falling asleep. Just as I fall asleep, I get this feeling of impending doom. Like my heart is going to stop or my lungs are suffocating, I wake up right away. Sucks.
