"Mad Dog" Mike Bell, who worked for WWE until as late as 2003 as an enhancement talent, died yesterday of unknown causes at age 37. Bell recently appeared in the film "Bigger, Stronger, Faster," which was a steroid piece directed by his brother Chris Bell. In addition to working with WWE as an enhancement talent for a number of years, Bell also wrestled for promotions on the west coast and in the northeast. WZ extends our deepest condolences to his family.

Whats weird is that when my gal and I watched this a while ago, I told her to mark my words, that guy would end up dead fairly soon... That guy had some serious emotional problems... I wonder how he died?
I will find out what happened to him and let everyone know... Mike Bell was a wrestler that was also enhancement talent at the same time as I was in the WWF... he was also good friends with Justin Credible... gonna call him tonight and get the scoop...
isn't Mike the ex-addict with suicidal tendencies?

Damn, no way. It's not surprising after watching him in that movie, as bad as that sounds. May he rest in peace.

kinda got your priorities mixed up eh?
I kind of agree with him. Yes, it's sad a man died, but the timing is really bad. It will most likely be spun by the media against steroids without regardless his death was linked or not

From watching the film, I got the impression that AAS were the least of his problems. Found it sad really. Unfortunately doesn't come at much a surprise. 37 is too young to die.

not really, tens of thousands of people die every day and I and you never hear about them. This guy shouldn't be any special either and as someone's already mentioned this guy was ****ed not because of AAS but because of everything else; yet he still somehow manages to **** it up slightly for the rest of us.
Can you see the headlines now?

I heard about this on another forum. It's horrible news. My condolences to his family...
For anyone that's seen the movie the father actually says at one point: We're going to find him dead someday. I can't remember exactly what he says.. but you get the point.

Great...
Who cares about the headlines. Why do you care? You think this one incident is going to suddenly shine the light on gear use? Helllo... McFly... the cat is already out of the bag.
What I found interesting is that while everyone else found it sad that this guy was now dead you were more concerned about the spotlight on steroids. I wonder if your reaction would be any different had you known the guy personally? I doubt it. I'm sure you'd still be concerned over the steroid spotlight.
You could try and have a little more compassion for the fact that a life was lost instead of the spotlight being put on your "hobby".

In a movie about steroids, has a wife... dead at 37 -That is the legacy he left behind.
One would be happy, one may not be. It is his legacy, not ours. it is tragic that he died.
What legacy will you guys leave behind?
Me... I played in a few forgettable bands, tried to lift weights and be big. Failed at maintaining a marriage or starting a family. LOL Not much of a legacy.
This kinda thing gets me thinking about life...
And yes, i agree with the most of you when I say that I hope this doesn't give steroids an even worse off reputation.

This is from his brother:
Team,
I have some bad news. My oldest brother Mike passed away today. Details are coming at me slowly but don't be upset if I don't share them with you.
As most of you know my brother suffered from addiction and deppression. To me how he died is not important, i'd rather think of how he lived. He was careless with others feelings and with his own body at times. He didn't always do the right thing, he made one bad decision after another. But nearly everyone who has ever met my brother would never forget him. Either because he was loud, rude, funny, emotional or maybe he even kicked their ass. People could relate to Mike even though he had a crazy side to him. Nearly everyone I ever talked to, who knew Mike was touched by him in one way or another. Even people who never met him who saw Bigger, Stronger, Faster were touched and effected by him.
I loved and idolized my big brother he will be missed but never forgotten!
RIP Big Brother I know you fought your heart out to get better.

"Chris Bell Speaks On His Brother Mike Bell’s Passing
Email Statement:
My older brother Michael aka MAD DOG in the wrestling world, passed away yesterday from unknown causes. He was residing at a sober living place in Orange County and was celebrating 60 days of being clean and sober from any drugs or alcohol. His roommates found him dead in his room at about 2:30pm yesterday and he was pronounced dead on the spot by medical experts. The cause of death is unknown and does not appear to be self inflicted.
My brother was my true hero growing up and I always wanted to be big and strong like him. He was the inspiration for me to make my movie Bigger Stronger Faster* because I saw how the American Dream negatively affected his sense of self worth. I will always remember my brother as the nicest guy in the world that sometimes got caught up in the wrong things. I am so sad right now over his passing. He was on his way to getting his life back on track and he was taken away from us at such a young age. My family thanks everyone who has sent emails and called. It really means a lot.
I Love you Michael.
Your little brother,
Christopher"
I still havent heard back from anyone yet. I guess things are a little hectic and priorities are elsewhere. As soon as I hear, I will post...
