'Virgin Muscle' pain - when does it stop hurting?

I just did another shot in my right glute last night (was gonna do quad, but wasn't positive where to pin). It immediately started to hurt, unlike the first two times (one in each) it didn't hurt til the next day.

Today, it feels like a donkey kicked me in the ass (it's also a little swollen).

I'm just wondering.. I've read all sorts about 'virgin muscle' this and that... do shots always hurt? I was under the impression test enth doesn't hurt once your muscles get used to it.

well for me the pain decrease by the second shot, i've had some test enth that hurst almost every shot but that was when i was doing 3 ml shots, now i try to keep my shots at 1.5ml that way i dont get any pain at all.

Man if its 400mg test e per cc,then it can hurt for 2-3 day for many.

What size pin are you using and is there any pain while you're injecting?

25g... no pain while injecting. this last one i noticed pain immediately following.. but pretty minor. today a lot more so.

in any case, i'm not concerned. just curious if pain eventually stops with regular injections. i guess every one's different and only time will tell.

The muscles will eventually get used to it.

Usually take two shots per muscle then after it becomes more sore rather then painful. You should check out the link below and see if its helpful. Like Tony said, it probably because of high concentration of hormones. Try diluting the shots with some sterile oil.

Look at thigh series #1 and #2.

For #1 I pin higher away from the kneecap and #2 closer to the kneecap. It's basically the same muscle but this way its from 2 different sides and at different points.

As to your question, if its EO you might always feel pain but if its just BA pain it should go away as you take more shots unless there's a lot of BA to begin with.

If you were getting pain right during the injeciton you might have just introduced some alcohol as you poked in.

nope. i run it under hot water and the pin is capped. plus i only run the water on the barrel. but it wouldn't hurt to run it under water before you change needles.

I used to do that but sometimes i would get water in the cap. then i would have to switch the needle again.

nope. i run it under hot water and the pin is capped. plus i only run the water on the barrel. but it wouldn't hurt to run it under water before you change needles.

I would place the vial in about 1/2 inch of warm tap water while getting everything ready , this is enough to thin the oil with out burning you .. or making the syringe unsterile

do you swab your needle with alcool and the top of your bottle if you try waiting for it to dry/evaporate i used to drench those with alcool and i was getting alot of pain was mixing putting a bit of alcool every time in the vial. i like to shot after a hot shower and lightly massage the spot and then head to sleep goodluck

I just microwave the vial for 10 seconds... any problems with that

do you swab your needle with alcool and the top of your bottle if you try waiting for it to dry/evaporate i used to drench those with alcool and i was getting alot of pain was mixing putting a bit of alcool every time in the vial. i like to shot after a hot shower and lightly massage the spot and then head to sleep goodluck

There is NO REASON to swap the needle. It is perfectly sterile coming out of the package and the only thing you can do is actually make it worse.

You guys complicate things too much. Just use a blow dryer at HIGH heat for a minute on the barrel and then switch needle and inject.

Try warming up the oil when it's in the syringe by rolling it in your hands for a minute. Then, once you're done the shot, give the spot a good massage for another minute. Seems to help me with soreness when doing the bigger shots.

no, i definitely do not swab the needle with alcohol. i swab the top of the vial and the injection spot.. then let it evaporate.

i also inject after a hot shower, and massage the area.. although weds at noon is when i do my first of the week, then midnight saturday for the second....

i'll try warming the oil beforehand.. and i'll also try to let the site heal a bit longer before injecting in that spot. i'm still a little nervous injecting in the leg.. the needles are too long first of all, and plus there's more veins/nerves i could hit if i don't get the right spot..

It's a lot easier to shoot the leg. I can't physically inject myself in the glute. The quad feels weird at first and I've hit a few funny spots but it's nothing you can't get used to/should be afraid of.

Well, 4th shot in the right glute was last night and there is zero pain today.. so I guess my muscles have finally gotten used to it.

This has been a learning curve for sure.. I was finding it was taking a little more oil to get the air out than it should, so I've been wasting a tiny bit each time. I finally got it just right last night, however I'm thinking I may not have to get me to week 10 now. Shit!
