Yes never talk to cops, in Canada they can use deceit to get you to talk. You have the right to not incriminate yourself, don't be stupid, shut up and lawyer up if you have to.

Detention begins the moment they start to question you so ask them to tell you the Charter rights and politely decline to comment until you have a lawyer with you.
Judge the situation to the best and don't be a wise guy, and remember the RCMP can lie to you and say they have "evidence".

Cliff notes version of the video, including the subsequent follow up lecture by a real police officer is:

- Cops want a conviction
- Don't think you are smart and can talk your way out of something
- If you admit to being 2 clicks over the speed limit you are speeding
- It is impossible to discredit a police officer's testimony against you

most cops are pieces of shit..You may run into maybe one or 2 that are cool but for the most part it seems they are dieing to put your ass behind bars...watching them high five each other after doing little busts is ****ing sickening....but hey when they get busted, cover ups, taking for ever to investigate them selves paid leave and that sometimes can take over a year and them some all while getting their full pay to go where ever they want while waitng for court....**** them...
