So I've been taking arimidex for two weeks now. I've been doing .5mg eod and just bumped it back to e3d. I've noticed that around 1/2 hour to an hour after taking it, I get a sudden drop in energy and get a hazy feeling in my head, along with a headache. This lasts the whole day and well into the night.

I know it's a huge pain in the ass to do this, but would I be better off trying to dose these into .25mg caps? I feel like the .5mg is too strong and causes a significant crash. I'm concerned this may cause problems along the way.... does estrogen rebound with arimidex? I can't remember if it's a suicidal anti-e or not...

Anyone else experience similar side effects using arimidex (or anothe anti-e)?

Arimidex can cause a rebound in estrogen but that is not gonna be of concern if you are running it eod. The half life of adex is about 50 hrs, so rebound is not gonna occur while running it eod. Estrogen will be suppressed.

Also, check out this link...a simple google search for Arimidex can tell you a ton. The info below is on adex and women but it will still give you an idea on the sides associated with adex.

http://www.rxmed.com/b.main/b2.pharmaceutical/b2.1.monographs/CPS-%20Monographs/CPS-%20(General%20Monographs-%20A)/ARIMIDEX.html

"The pharmacological action of anastrozole may give rise to certain expected effects. These include hot flushes.... Anastrozole may also be associated with gastrointestinal disturbances (anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea), asthenia, somnolence, headache or rash."

if there is one thing s we can trust the medical field. in the world of AAS i think it's the combination of everything. heck if a prescibed dosage is 1 mg every day to cancer patients it might be okay, but we are all different. the key is to find what works for the individual without causing to much harm in the process. that's why as most people her have stressed "Blood Work". be safe and be smart.

thanks gus for the url.

Didn't you just switch over to the eod dosing from e3rd?? This may take some time to stabilize the estro levels in your body. Give it time, your dose is moderate so there should not be too many probs. Just be cognizant of any sides that pop up and if they worsen.

yeah, but then i went back to e3d, but only just this last dose... i'll keep it consistent at eod and hope that it stabilizes.
