Stop using AAS is your first step.

Keep in mind that hair loss is a perpetual thing. You would need constant maintenence hair transplants for the rest of your life. Its not a one shot deal.

2ndly.. If there was a cure or a fix for baldness, there would be no extremely rich bald men..

Not true, they use the hair at the back of your head that isn't affected by DHT. Once put on the top, it doesn't fall out.

Yeah, but the pre-existing hair on the top and sides and crown continues to diminish with time, so you'd have to keep going back to have that replaced as well.

I've actually looked into it and can't afford it, at least for the top doctors. In Toronto there's a guy call Dr. Armani, very expensive but they say he's one of the top 3 in the world. Also, Dr. Rahal in Ottawa is very good, also one of the top in he world and better price. But expect to pay quite a lot. For my work I'm quoted around $25k-$40k depending on the doctor. But I need quite a bit of work, so I said screw it and shave my head LOL

Read a LOT of forums before doing this. If you get a bad doc you can get a real bad job. There are lots of sites out there with forums, like http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/viewforum.php?f=60

It is much better and cheaper to get small work done before you lose all of your hair. That's why guys like Dr. Armani travel to California, he's done work on many movie stars, people you would never think needed work. They have a new procedure where instead of taking a whole strip from the back of your head (where you will have a scar) they individually take out follicles and place them on the top of your head. But there are debates which one is better etc.... (you will see posts, FUE vs Strips, which is better)

Supposedly there are some new technology not yet ready, including gene therapy, where they clone your follicles and can then reproduce an unlimited amount of hair follicles. With the current technology you can only 'transplant' so many follicles from the back of your head to the top.....

anyway, lots to read and learn. good luck and let us know if you decide to go through with it. i really can't afford this, but perhaps one day when I'm older (and can win the lottery LOL)
