****, TAPETTE, CALIZ< and also TAVERNAC!!
After 17 years on the damn road...like a freakking amateur I got into a car accident today.
Coming down a long stretch well known for big accidents...I am doing around 60k on a 60, traffic is VERY slow, but moving...I have around 10 car space ahead of me...I see a truck in front, but NO back breaks on...then as I get to around 5 cars space, I see him breaking, so I start breaking too...too late---I must have hit an ice patch. I have good tires...but I started to slide straight towards him....there were incoming on my opposite lane..and I had a line up to flowing traffic to my right...so I COULD NOT pull on the emergency breaks and let the car steer to either side...ALL I could do is hit/tap, hit hold and let the car slide right into the ****er...hit him on the back right side, barely any damage.
I took the entire front light (car is very low)
Damage to the side panel, front panel split in half.
No damage to the front tire.
I had been wanting to exchange this car and get into an Envoy, but had not time to go do it...now it comes to this.
worst day ever :(
It is my day off thankfully....damn what a way to start my day.

That truly blows bro but i doubt it really is your worst day ever... You are safe, you did not get injured and you lasted 17 years without an accident.
By the way i don;t think tavernac is spelled that way...lol..

You guys are VERY right!!
I called my girl, the first thing she said to me: "are you hurt?" She is amazing.
No damage.
That road is KNOWN for big accidents.
A 57 year old got ran over last week, and was killed on the spot.
I have this huge headache now..only because I am looking at around 2k in damage. I am not going to call my insurance, I need to deal with this on my own.
17 years driving, yes I have been fortunate to be accident less, that's for sure.
Sorry about the spelling, French is not my strongest language :D

WOW!!! that is a substancial amount in damage IMO depending on how much your car is worth.
Mine hovers the early 20s as is, and the damage is of 2K :(
This is my winter car...but after I fix it, I am running to the dealership to sign the Envoy :)
NO MORE WINTER DRIVING ISSUES AFTER THAT>
What happened to yours?

Agreed!!!
I know YOUr accident left permanent damage...
I still remember hitting the breaks, and I started to slide...I knew there was nothing I could do...nothing at all but take the hit.
I am off tomorrow and will call the insurance company to have it registered. First claim in 17 years :( there goes my $65.00 per month insurance :D 500.00 deductible :(

OUCH , thats gonna add up
Rain + slush and ice. I started to slide, but then I hit a big ice patch and I spun out and hit a farmers fence. Big dent in the front, and the right rear side of the bumper was knocked off. then all of the paint got scratched off the side when the Toe truck driver pulled it out.

nov 12, i got into a car accident.. sitting at a red light i got rear ended! Sigh, cant i go a year without someone hitting me!? I wasnt injured...
i was driving down this main arttery.. and passing this car woman driver texting on her cell, hugging the curb.. i backed off thinking this person was drunk they were gonna smoke a snow bank and possibly turn over or hit a tree or pole.. then they slowed down i assumed they were turning off and as i passed this person was only concerned iwth the photoradar. Anyways futher downthe road i passed this car.. and then obeyed the red light. About 40 seconds later iI got rear ended... same woman driver.. i jumped out looked at my truck.. she said oh its slippery i was sliding, oh thats not too bad its only a little scratch. I said umm no it iant.. she says oh well my car is fine. I said gimme ur info. Then she started swearing and all mad.. i said maybe next time you wont text message when you are driving.
I was so pissed, and still am.
yeah i had a headache and i couldnt sleep .. yeah, i have had car claims every year.. and im sick of it.. i just want to go ONE year without vandalism or accidents
like i wanna get mad at her for being careless and NOT driving defensively, nevermind the cell phone stuff when we talked she almost gave me the impression she wanted me to let it go. I just got this truck in August there was no way that would happen. But whats even more retarded i know what she will say to her insurance... it was slippery.. and well then maybe if its slippery you should drive at a lower speed, as they say, the MAX speed limit is only a suggested speed, doesnt mean you have to go 60, you can go slower - if the weather conditions are poorer. A real adult would have taken blame and apologized which she didnt do. She didnt hav a pen or paper. I did, from my insurance office, they give you their policy booklet and a pen usually- i got lke a hundred of them all over the place... which i had, and infact in the back fo the book there is a form to fill out in case of an accident. What she didnt have it? She was useless and a ditz imo. An older woman and if i wanted to i could claim she smelled like booze, but who am i to say that wasnt perfume.. lol. I had no cell, i wasnt gonna make her stay there while i ran to a pay phone to calls the cops on her. And i didnt call the cops when i got home because i was so mad i just didnt think of it till this morning.

I get pissed at people when I see them texting and driving . Hell I cant even walk and text at the same time , why would I do it and drive ??
IMHO , thats worse than drinking and driving , atleast the drunk is trying to watch the ****ing road most times
sorry the last post got me raged also and I am not on a cycle yet lol

What about driving while getting a blowie from a cheap hooker? Does that count against the rules of: "driving"??
