4 years ago i broke my back in a snowmobiling accident and have 5 fused vertebrae, Due to this accident i have nerve damage in my calves and have no planter flexion. Because of the nerve damage the tendons in my feet have shrunk and caused me to get hammer toes. The surgery will consist of cutting and lengthening the tendons under the toes and cutting the tip of my toe to run wires through my toes to fuse them solid. I have been on a waiting list for 2 years and my doctor finally called today. I Could get surgery done on Jan 13 if i wanted the appointment. Is it a big deal to get surgery done while on AAS? The doctor wanted to see me on Dec 17 to do a consultation, and get blood work done for the anaesthesiologist. Should i stop my cycle now and start pct, i started test and tren the first of Nov. Or should i even make a point of telling the doc?

imo you should stop cycle but pct drugs have long half-lives as well so they might not be clear by the 13 of jan.......they'll probably dose you with a drug like versed to knock you out......there arent any indictations of reactions tho....you'll probably be safe....but being honest with the doc would be prudent in the case of any surgery....good luck!

Id definitley drop the tren, and maybe cut the Test down to <250mgs a week.

Of course 99/100 times youd probably be fine either way, but for peace of mind getting your blood chemistry as close to normal before getting put under is good practice IMO.

There's lots of knowledge on the board but personally I'd consult with the doctor to see if they feel that the gear would be an issue for the surgery since it can impact your blood pressure. Worst case scenario is that you go off until the surgery and then go on again after it.

We have seen Doctors make critical and even terminal mistakes in the past, over and over.

YOU are correct when you say that there is LOTS of knowledge on the board, but above all, there is a lot of past personal experiences being shared here.
All that to say, I have never been under the knife for any reason.
I do not believe that the up and coming operation will be of conflict with anabolics---depending on what you are running however (as stated above) blood pressure may become an issue.--what came to mind for me also. With that however, why not stop any intake now, and let your boby do its thing with regards to the operation.
Are you going to be able to continue training right away?
What impediments will you be facing after the operation, given the fact that ensitions will be made on your toes??

I went under, while I was on one of the biggest cycles i was ever on, and my blood pressure was pretty high. the doctor didnt seemed worried at all about my blood pressure. everything went well, but I was still a little bit worried, if I would do it over again, i would of dropped everything except the test and cruise at 250mg/week like big_luse said. your still better off consulting your doctor about this though.

they operate on pretty unhealthy individuals all the time. obese. poor cardio, etc.
A little roids probably doesn't matter. that being said, why not come off, go thjrough pct, then get cut up, heal then go on again. Are you going to be liftin gafter surgery? No
So why do any gear besides a maintenance test dose to bridge....if anything

IMO of course

AAS doesn't have any effect on general anesthetic. I have gone under a few times while on a cycle and the anesthesiologist said it was fine.

Make sure you get your body weight correct would be the main concern so they can properly dose the anesthetic.

Pre-op questions will ask if you have ever used. Answer it NO. It will be in your medical records forever. Who is the doc? PM me. We know someone who had a serious operation while "on" and it went very well.

Do you really need the operation? Your not wearing high heels and on your feet all day.

I'll carry your sorry ass into the gym every night after the operation, if I get to drive your truck! :laugh Your all upper body for now, not your feet dear unless your wanting to wear my heels again.:handsome
