Is it just me or does anybody else find the "coalition" between the Libs,NDP, and BQ a threat to democracy? This move on their part goes against what we as Canadians had decided in the last election. I for one would not be surprised if the west split from the rest of Canada over this illegal seizure of power. I do not like the fact they are just taking power without an election. It is very undemocratic, and illegal under the current constitution. What do you think?

I could see this coalition causing violence. It is a violation of democracy.

In any other country this would be called a "coup d'etat"!!
To have the 3 Stooges try and pull this with the consent of the Crown just insults the living shit out of every Canadian out there! To think we aren't intelligent enough to know what is good for us. This thing stinks from the ground up and they are standing by there lies, knowing they are lies but basically saying "what are you going to do about it??"

I love the way you put it "Kanada"......Because it sure isn't my Canada that has stupid shit like this happen in it. We should have given Harper the majority in the first place!
On top of it all who in their right mind would get "in to bed" with the BQ they in NO WAY REPRESENT CANADA.
Oh and looks who thinks they know what’s better for us DION can that guy tie his own shoes?

I'm glad I didn't participate in the illusion of democracy by voting. I'd feel ripped off.

B.F. Skinner excerpt on 'free will':

"The fact that positive reinforcement does not breed countercontrol has not gone unnoticed by would-be controllers, who have simply shifted to positive means. Here is an example: a government must raise money. If it does so through taxation, its citizens must pay or be punished, and they may escape from this aversive control by putting another party in the next election. As an alternative, the government organizes a lottery, and instead of being FORCED to pay taxes, the citizen VOLUNTARILY buys tickets. The result is the same: the citizens give the government money, but they feel free and do not protest in the second case. Nevertheless, they are being controlled, as powerfully as by a threat of punishment, by that particularly powerful schedule of reinforcement, the effect of which is all too clearly shown in the behaviour of the compulsive or pathological gambler."

As if this quote from the news doesn't sum up the **** job about to come:

'One of the most raucous sessions in recent memory ended with a Tory chorus of O Canada in the government lobby. Minutes later, Duceppe was at the microphone saying he'll continue to work in the best interests of sovereignty.

"(NDP Leader Jack) Layton and Dion won't change. They're federalists and I'm a sovereigntist," he said. "I think every gain we're making here is good for Quebec, and what's good for Quebec is good for a sovereign Quebec."

Its not illegal, its just terribly underhanded.

Great to see that when the liberals lose, rather than man up and try to do thier jobs they whine and complain and form survivor-esque 'Alliances' to try and steal power back.

How is this coalition going to work anyway? The Bloc, NDP and Libs vote WAY differently on issues. They think they are going to be able to work as a team???

If anyone knows of a Free West party that is forming , id love to have a link to a website?

Ya I think this is total bullshit. There trampling all over our so called democracy. I keep waiting for someone to step in and say "hey you can't do that" but so far nothing! What the hell is going on here? And I totaly agree we should have gave the conservatives the magority it the first place! They had my vote!

Yes this will definitly boost the Western Canada Concept membership. What makes me sick is there is no way they just put all this together after the election, there had to have been some back door agreements made before the election.

With the state of the economy what it is, these selfserveing, egotistical ****ers will tear this country apart. And all for what? Just to see who's cock is bigger?!? Think i'll drive down to our constituents office and set it ablaze. God damn i can't remember ever being this mad!!!

Lets just hope our nice governor general takes the right decision (and usually she just lsitens to the prime minister).

esh, just because you don't like it doesn't mean its illegal, it ain't illegal and it ain't undemocratic....its just really really stupid and political. While I don't like Dion I do appreciate the fact that we live in a country where the democratically elected representatives of the MAJORITY can vote no confidence and overturn a MINORITY government.

I don't know about you guys but I'm kinda happy to see that I live in a country where the minority cannot govern with impunity. :flagC

...and for ****s sake, it hasn't even happened yet, how about we wait until the Gov General makes her call before we start tearing out hair out/popping bottles, this might just throw us back to another inebriated election run around.

NOTE: Clarification for the partisan kneejerkers, I think ALL politicians are worthless pieces of shit that are worthy of contempt on their best days... once again that is ALL POLITICIANS, Liberal, NDP, Conservative or Other. :D

Sitting back and doing nothing is a great way to accomplish nothing. Id rather people passionately agree with this, or disagree with it, than just sit back and "wait and see".

Doing nothing accomplishes nothing. Get heard, use your voice yadda yadda yadda

I think part of the problem was that too many ppl. thought the consevatives were going to get in anyway, so a lot just didn't bother voteing. I'll bet the next election will have record turnout..

Ignatief thinks he is going to get control. If a vote of non confidence goes through we are supposed to go into an election. Ask Kim Campbell.

Bloc Québecois suck's. How can Gilles Duceppe be a part of a gouv. he want to quit? Duceppe-Layton-Dion?? Make no sense at all to me.

I'm not proud to be a Quebecer right now. I never liked Bloc Quebecois and Gilles Duceppe. Regionnal or provincial party should not be allowed to be in Ottawa.
