I"m off on a trip to Costa Rica in Jan. My inner thighs are saggy. I know it's age related, saggy skin. I have always had loose skin on my tummy when I'm lean but now I see it at other spots as I age.

I started doing one legged leg presses, closer stance to isolate the inner thigh.

What's the secret to firming them and the glutes?

donkey kicks and sumo-style deep squats, have used with my wife and she has tights glutes and legs. she is in her 40's

I'm doing deep squats but no longer use heavy weights. I"m wanting lean, not size..so I do alot of reps.

Donkey Kicks!!!!...we have a great machine for them...no one uses it. I'm gonna give them a place in my routine this weekend. BLT day. Butt, Legs and Thighs.

ya, my wife does not want size either and her knees are not what they used to be, too many years of ballet. so she keeps the weight moderate and we vary intensity rather than reps, shorther rest between sets.

My wife has been loving putting leg guards on and kicking my heavy bag in the basement. Squats are a must too but you knew that.

On a more serious note, I agree with spankmonkey, donkey kicks as well as deep squats are tops for building round and firm glutes...but that only deals with the muscle.

Narrow stance leg press:
- rolled towel between legs
- ankles flexed all the time

Push with heels and squeeze the towel

Towel squeezing idea is new. I have been doing a narrow stance for the last bit on presses.

glute ham raises.........with weight added.........i promise this will make your ass nice n tight........in fact i want you to take close-up pics after trying this out.......

any suggestions on this would be great-doing at home and don't have heavy gym equipment...I read the towel suggestions;sounds good....squats, lunges and patients I know-so any other ideas out there-for inner and outer thigh areas?? thanks.

CC does squats, and sumo squats, sumo deads, and some other stuff that Nicole ball showed her, and she has wicked glutes etc....give those a try...:D

glute/ham raise and reverse hyper kill my ass and hams.....try the reverse hyper with a db squeezed between your feet and it kills the inner thighs

If you want to look lean..then 90% is going to have to be diet.For the rest continue doing high reps to keep a good pump going.Your legs will look more filled up and tighter.Change exercises all the time.Everytime i change up..i get these amazing pumps and feel it more.

... I'm not sure that exercise is the solution to loose skin, unless of course it involves getting bigger or is fat related which I wouldn't guess is you if the pictures are recent.

Have you talked with a dermatologist? (clinical cause/diet related)
Inner thigh lift and/or tummy tuck? (surgery)
Creams for a short term fix? (short term cosmetic fix)

Did you lose a bunch of weight or is this just the joys of age?

For some people loose skin fixes itself with time and good diet but for others not so much. Kind of like stretch marks, you want to believe that there is a "solution" but after 10 or 20 years you realize its all just bad marketing.

+1... sumo deads really hit the inner thigs nicely. Squats rule. One legged sldls with a db are nice and I just started a series of DB sumo squats that burn.

Give the guy some rep :bch - diet is the main key (ABs are made in the kitchen) and high reps thrown in work nicely. Drop sets are also a good variation.

I do mu squats with knees squeezing together and go deep...im gymnastics wd weughtour ancles lie on our back with legs up and open then bring straight legs together...finally lie on your back squeezing your knees and butt put your heels on the wal just over 90 degrees and do hip raises without letting your but toucgh the ground! all are even better slow than fast.
