Hey Bros,

I just recently picked up a 15lb bag of Mutant Mass by PVL. Any reviews on it and what did ya guys think?

I just started mine and it pretty damn yummy......not sure if I can post the price but it the cheaper than the 10lb tub weight gainers

its been a great seller in my store. people like it because it isnt full of sugar like most weight gainers.

they use a barely carb called vextrago. slower release then maltodextrin. and the protein in it comes from 10 different sources. so u have everything from fast to slow release.
they have also added some CLA. all in all i think its a great product. especially for the price.

i find it didnt mix too bad...especially if you let it sit for a while...give it the odd shake now and then....

lol pool hall junkies? good movie. I wasn't insulting you, I was making fun of how these companies manipulate regulations. This gainer contains two different types of protein: milk and egg and that's all.
Milk:
Multi Whey Blend CFM-92- a blend is isolate and concentrate
ISO-95 Whey Protein Isolates- would be in a blend
WPC 85 and WPC 80 Whey Protein Concentrates- why the **** they would include two grades of concentrate is beyond me when concentrate is already in the blend. Hey let's include concentrate and then a lower grade concentrate too.
Whey 80P (Peptides)- see above.
Milk Protein Isolate- 80% casein 20% whey(which is already listed 4 different ways above
Miceller Casein- already in milk protein isolate
Calcium Caseinate- again the thought process is ass backwards, let's include a lower grade of the ingredient above.
Egg:
Fat Free Eggplete, Egg White and Fat Free Egg Yolk Protein Isolates- haha at listing the two different portions of the egg as different.

I just don't understand gainers. MPI, carbs and some fats of your choice would accomplish the same damn shit. And i would buy that if it were packaged that way. This is nothing more than label padding. I can't blame them I suppose it sells. The product isn't bad other than the fact it's overpriced but I can overlook that for those that prefer convenience, it's the cloak and dagger nonsense that annoys me.

Like instead of saying "a mixture" the new word is "a matrix", like wow the new word of the industry is matrix this matrix that, throw in these fancy matrix of proteins with the word "urban" here and there shit sells.

Yeah, one cannot forget the synergy... Where would one be without it? Sure each protein source has an amino acid profile that is interesting in one way. It`s just the kitchen sink approach here that bugs me by throwing so many in. Not saying it`s bad, again it`s just what makes the product interesting for people who may not know the difference, then again I could be wrong.

Best weight gaining shake mix IMO:

250 g Egg white
1 scoop whey protein
oatmeal (as much as needed)
Peanut Butter (as much as needed)
Hemp protein 30g

Take that shake 3 times a day in conjunction with your 3-4 whole meals and it will put weight on the skinniest of skinny bastards.

PVL Mutant Mass was one of my first gainers i tried, and never again will i go near the stuff. I personally thought it tasted awful, every time i opened the bag i had to hold my breath and plug my nose. After i forced it down nothing but bloating... I let friends have a go and sample it and nothing but ewwww's.... ended up tossing it, waste of my $.

Chocolate , I liked it,, taste was good I mixed in some bananas and Ice in a blender,, 3 super large scoops tho wow!,, Blender half full just from that , add a banana and some ice for a smoothy not bad,,
First couple of times tho had be running to the gym bathroom,, made my guts hurt for awhile.

Along with PVL changing the Mutant Mass label to the new one, the also changed the formula a bit making it taste and smell way better, and have Waxy Maize at the main carb ingredient so even less sugar. The new label and formula is one of the best I've ever tried, and is getting really good reviews in my store. Bump for the new Mutant Mass!!!:yeah
