my left bicep, the arm without the tattoo, it's sort of like a chunk is missing from the lower outside portion of it.

happened when i was natural (never training without juice again). sometimes my left arm hurts after doing heavy curls or chin ups. do you think it's a tear? anything i can do to make it look better? ive had for like 6 years so i guess there isnt much i can do but it is still frustrating.

well anyway, just want a second opinion. this pic is very old:

Likely microtears on the distal tendon, I had the same and subsequently ended up with both arms completely rupturing and have had surgery. The pain you feel is likely inflammation of the tendon (i.e., tendonitis)...take heed of pain signs!

how much did the surgery cost. how long were you out of the gym. did the surgery make your arm look totally normal again.

Hey bro it doesn't really work like that. He had surgery because he ruptured his tendon completely. It became completely detached from his elbow. What he's saying is maybe your showing signs that your tendon is slowly tearing, and that eventually you could end up rupturing it. Trust me you don't want that because even with surgery it would be worse then it is now. I have about a 1/2 inch difference now where my bicep starts on my arm when flexed. There was a thread just the other day on here about AAS and tendons. I'd put a link to it but I don't know how, sorry. Take care of it now before it gets worse.Good luck.

Exactly, THANKS Jimmy!
I was the worst for listening to my tendons screaming at me. I would just wrap my elbows and work through the pain. Over time, as I continually had small tendon tears, my biceps got shorter and shorter, freaky looking on stage (like soft balls when flexed)---but the space from the elbow joint to bicep looked a little weird. Nonetheless my left tore right off in 2005....got it fixed immediately. Was preparing for the level 2 show in London Ontario (which is actually this weekend) over the summer and tore my right side. I am now just starting back at the gym.... Lesson = listen to those tendons.

All i can say is go see a RMT for a massage and they will tell you what degree your injury is.
