Well, I grew up taking Martial Arts (More Boxing then anything) and was wondering if anybody knows about the Cougar Boxing Club? I went to the Boys and Girls Club Hordie RIP, and Panther Club. Great Clubs, but Panther is more commercial now a days. Anyways, my son wants to Box and am looking for a good Boxing Club. I'm more concerned with experience in teaching a SouthPaw (My son is a SouthPaw). I'm a SouthPaw, but was taught in right handed stance. I try to teach him, but their are alot of different dynamics to it. It's not just showing the opposite way, there is alot more to it. In short, A school that has experience with SouthPaws... Edmonton Thanks y'all..

cougar is aka as the westchester right? Good club with a few southpaws in the ranks. In my experience, go to each of the clubs with your son and let him pick where he feels comfortable. Make sure the club meets your standards for training etc. too.

I boxed from the age of 5 or 6 and did it for a long time. My dad had boxed as an amateur and he coached me more than anyone. I would suggest that if you have the time, and cant find a gym your little guy is comfortable in, get him in the basement and start showing him the basics yourself! Lot of great memories with the old man in the gym hitting the heavy bag, focus mitts etc
