Quarantine

Saw this movie last week here in Toronto. I thought it was VERY well done.
It's made in the same fashion as Cloverfield (not as dizzying as say Blair Witch though..)

Downloaded "REC" the original Spanish version the night after (didn't compare at all..)

Highly recommend quarantine!

WHAT??? You're on glue, dude... [REC] was by far superior AND the original version, btw...

I HATE subs, but thought it made it even more interesting... as you were busy reading the subs, something would pop out and surprise you... like reading isn't scary enough...

I appreciate your opinion, though... just stating mine... the "on glue" thing was just the first thing that pooped outta my head... (yes, I know I wrote pooped)

No worries bro!

I guess I was taken by the Hollywood production budget in comparison to the run of the mill budget in REC. Although I do prefer original content rather repurposed, I still found Quarantine to be better in terms of "Jolting" the audience.

Also, I found the direction in terms of Plot in REC to be all over the place, with Religious references such as Demonic Possession and other potential causes.. Whereas, in Quarantine "Rabies" was the attributing cause of this epidemic. There were some more humorous aspects to the original such as the Korean family and the way they were perceived by the older folks in the building.. Aside from that, I was just let down.

Let's pick this up when Beyonce portrays Wonder Woman. :rofl
