AAS to aid in injury recovery

Has anyone used AAS to help recover from injury? During rehab?

If so, what did you use and how did it help/hinder your progress?

What kind of injury? If it's tendon or ligament then you better avoid that. If it's muscular, then it depends. What are you dealing with?

AAS will probabaly only mask the injury, while on cycle. Therefore further complicating your injury when off. GH would be a better option.

I broke my femur last year and I used anavar almost like a bridge so I didn't lose to much of my gains and to get some strength back in my leg. Physio's couldn't believe how quickly I was back in action ;)

What sort of doses did you run?

its not a smart idea. i broke my knee and tore my mcl and i too thought about jumping on something.

but then all your strength will be from a bottle, u wont have built back any true strength in that area on your own.

take your time, do physio, and gradually build the strength back into that injry on your own. then get back on a cycle

This is actually for a friend of mine, just wondering what people's experiences were before I would think about recommending anything to buddy

And about getting back on cycle...doc told him to take it easy in the gym for a while. He's still allowed to go, just not anything big. When the doc says it's okay to go big, would you take that as a go-ahead to look at cycle options?

Well your best bet, if it is soft tissue injury, would be DMSO. It isnt a steroid, but damn is it a miracle drug on soft tissue repair. I use it often for jujitsu injuries I sustain, like strained ligaments or a bruised muscle from a calf or bicep crush. Most AAS increase red blood cell count, so it does speed up recovery time, so it isnt out of the question to use AAS as an aid for recovery.

I agree DMSO works very well. Just smells/tastes a bit like garlic.

how about gh or igf during rehab?

I'm waiting on knee surgery right now and was thinking something like that would be help after surgery.

I would have thought GH to be ideal, but he's shying away from the pins cause the wife might find 'em. Orals are basically his only viable option at the moment...

GH is the most ideal way of going about it, and damn, Ive been pinning myself under the wifes radar for years and she hasn't found any pins laying around. Dispose of them into the garbage immediatly and he shouldnt have any worries.

A recent clinical study by the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, showed that nandrolone strengthened ligaments and tendons. (American Journal of Sorts Medicine Volume 32: 934-943, 2004)

This is most likely why you are experiencing less pain in your joints.
Used low/safe doses and always be careful in which steriods you choose to take....

I'm pretty similar.

I'll save 'em up, put them in an animal pak tube, tape the thing over & over & over, then dispose of it directly to a dumpster...
