Back of arms almost numb

Does this happen to anyone else?

A few years ago when I started working out regularly, I noticed two things:

- arms would fall asleep when above my head (while sleeping, ie: under a pillow)
- back of arms were numb

Well, my arms kept falling asleep even after I stopped working out for a couple years.. so I guess that's a permanent thing. But I just noticed tonight that the back of my arms are starting to get numb, just like before. It's a strange feeling... feels like they have a numbing agent on them or something.

Is this nerve damage?

ive noticed the arms going numb thing, pretty much any time they are in a elevated position or if i have any pressure on the underside of my forarms (like resting them on arm rests)

.. never had the back of the arm numb thing tho :S

ya one time I fell asleep with both arms under my pillow. I woke up to take a piss and my hands were so numb i couldnt even turn a door knob to leave the bedroom. took a couple seconds to regain feeling but it was pretty funny hahah.

Arms or hands going numb is not such a bad thing, you could take advantage of the situation and perform a stranger on yourself!

Is this nerve damage?

This sounds more like a blood flow issue. Low dose aspirin might help.

I hope this isn't nerve damage, my arms go numb lying on my back with my hands on my abdomen and if I put them to the side it stops. I also get a left arm going numb when I do cardio and sometimes the right. I also notice when standing in one place for around 20 min my left leg goes to sleep.
