I am in the process of debating whether or not to take Accutane. If I were to use it I would run a low-moderate dose but never hit the high ranges.

However I have heard that it can affect vision, although I have only heard this about females, I am wondering if anyone experienced this.

Nothing but dry skin/lips?

Any sides encountered?

ive been dealing with acne my whole life. it destroyed my confidence all through high school.

first course of accutane i did it the proper way when i was like 18 with doctors, derms, blood tests each month and all that crap. it really dried me out. lips cracking, bleeding, etc. worked fairly well.

second course of accutane i did myself cause i was breaking out during a cycle, i think it was test/eq/npp/m1t or something like that. i used SA at 30mg a day for a few months. worked very well, i was dried out but it wasnt that bad. got rid of everything for like 2 months after finishing it then it slowly came back. that's the thing, people say it cures it permanently, i dont really agree. my experience is that it gets rid of it for awhile but then it comes back eventually.

i'm doing something now that is working almost as well as accutane that i suggest you try because it's no where near as hard on your body. you take a gram of pantothenic acid (b5) and a gram of apple cider vinager three times a day. and use tea tree oil soap in the shower twice per day. you can also get retin-a cream from the clinic and use that each night before bed. do this and i guarantee you it will be way better or totally cured.

its basically like a constant battle. if you stop it will most likely come back, so you can't ever slack on it.

I've used B5 for like months and months, it has lost the effects... I also have taken antibodies...

I took up to 20 grams of B6 a day and all it did was give me the shits but it does work for some guys.

I've taken accutane for a couple of months but was not diligent with it. I have a cupboard full of it so I will try it again before it expires. It is nasty stuff and has potential to effect more than vision, it's extremely hepatoxic and warnings for sides like suicidal, vision and personality changes are hyped.

b5 ? accutane gave me crazy dried skin and cracked/bleeding lips. minacycline i found not as bad. tea tree oil in products i find helps. someone was also suggesting emu oil. the best acne product ive used to date was a transdermal tetracycline. i do want to try this emu oil though. spectro jel is pretty good too

ya the obvious dry skin, very dry lips and the inside of my nose was always dry and cracked and sore. its annoying to deal with when you're on it, but worthwhile in the end.
