Basic requirements
At least 500 posts
Member for 6 months
NOT A SOURCE OR INVOLVED WITH A UG LAB
Mods will be selected in this fashion
1 by me (I can choose anyone without criteria above)
1 by votes of members using criteria above.
Mods will be brought on for a run of 3 or 4 months (I haven't decided yet) at the end of their run, they will be put on as regular members again and another 2 will be selected again. This way we will avoid any problems with members hating mods or mods hating members.
If it happens, it's only temporary so staying on as a member here won't be hard.
This also gives you guys/gals more of an opportunity to become an integral part of the board. It is all of you that really make cbb a great place and I would like to give you the chance to become an important part of it.
I have been on the canadian bodybuilding forums forever and will probably be on here forever. I can't do it alone anymore so those that are interested in helping out, you're chance is coming soon.
I will open a new forum soon for mod applications and you start a thread in there stating your interest and why you want to be a part of the mod team.
If for some reason you have invited a lot of people here, ASK THEM TO PUT YOU AS REFERRER WHEN THEY REGISTER. It will help in improving your chances. I am a big fan of those who get others to come to cbb and help us grow.
The first set will be chosen around xmas to start Jan 1st.
Looking forward to working closer with some of you.

I think the requirements are very fair. As time goes on, more members will be able to meet the requirements and possibly become a mod. Great for rewarding loyal members. Post whores aren't enough as there is a 6 month membership requirement.

Ya, but I've been drifting away from it for a while to be honest. I'm thinking that I'd rather spend my time getting my personal training business up and running within it's own name and confines rather than attach it to a specific site.

I pick one mod regardless of the post count or join date.
A source should not apply for mod.
I would feel insulted if a source were to try to become a mod here. CBB must remain politics free and not be viewed as a place to get your aas at. AAS talk is allowed but sources being mods will be a conflict of interest. Actually sources in general are frowned upon if trying to push products on the site. I don't know who are sources (if there are any here) but if there is, please DO NOT apply for mod. If I find out I have a source as mod, I will remove and ban that member.

And the most important point, less risk to MP who has gone above and beyond what it takes to maintain a community for us. He's borne more headaches and more shit than any other person would be willing, just in keeping up boards like this and Nexus.

Thanks guys. Yes, I have had my fair share of headaches. It's hard to make everyone feel welcomed on a board and to keep the peace. But cbb seems to have gotten it's balance back which is good to see.

No one picked yet. The mod application forum is at the bottom of the site. It will be open on Dec 1st and the new mods will be brought on Jan 1st.

this is something new from all the years I've been around, IMO you should take your time on picking MODS and keep them on full time, swithching MODS every few months can cause a security problem not just here but to other boards as well, the best thing is to have you and your trusted MOD(S) vote on new MODS and ask for references from well known members of the BB community...JMO bro;)

RexMP has been at this a long time too and the I have no doubt that the ones chosen will be people he KNOWS he can trust...
There are a good 30 people here who I know and trust that would make good mods, so there should be nothing to worry about...

I'd be happy to see Bana, BDH, physique in as well. All three have been on the CDN scene for a long time and know their shit. All are very diplomatic and would be great mods for CBB.
