I love my music but i am so sick and tired of local radio stations that bombard you with endless, mindless advertiseing. At the moment we have a 7 day free trial offer from Sirius satellite radio. I'm loveing it!!! We are definitly going Satellite, but they don't seem to have as much selection as we would like. Does anyone here have satellite radio and if so which have a broader selection??
I have had Sirius for about a year and a half now and could never go back to terrestrial radio... the selection is great... dont know what you mean by them not having much selection... can you expand on that please?

Its not quit what i ment about not much of a selection, i ment a broader selection. My wife really likes Celtic and cajun music, and as much as i like my rock i do enjoy some blue's. They only have one blue's station and non of the others...

And here I chime in with a good question for you Sirius guys....
Do you have the Canadian or American subscription? And if you have the American subscription, how so?

Yes... pretty much. Sirius bought out XM Radio. I was thinking of buying one of those portable Delphi units for XM because they are dirt cheap... BUT, if Sirius decides to kill XM, then anyone who owns an XM radio is FOOKED!!

They now share most of their channels, and the ones they dont share are available through the "Best Of" packages each one offers... unfortunately, the Best Ofs arent available to Canadians...
Your best bet is to spend the few extra bucks and get a Sportster or Stilletto... However, I dont necessarily recommend getting a lifetime sub right now... I dont think theyll go anywhere, but for the sake of a few dollars more, paying yearly is the way I go...

I saw a "al e carte " or however it's spelled for $6.99 a month for 50 channels. But you have to buy a particular model of radio for it. Which is bullshit. I want the portable one but eh... so for now, I'll just download 6 hours of Sirius radio off my dish and put into MP3 format. Easy as pie... and free! lol

you can also download the daily episodes from a Torrent like mininova, they also have several good HowardTV episodes. gotta get the one with Vanessa Brasil on it, she was amazing.
the portable unit is calle dthe stilletoh or something like that. Unfortunately SiriusXM had a minor issue paying their creditors last quarter, and cosequently they have adjusted their packages to "pass the buck" as it were. typical bullshit but it's still be the best, bubba the love sponge, Ferrel, Howard stern. Hell Evne Riley Martin is hilarious

Sirius XM are the same company, but their programming is a little different... just dont want anyone thinking they are interchangeable...
