View Full Version : Have to stop my cycle...

And am a bit pissed about it, but it's what needs to be done.

I've been running my homemade prop at about 420mg/week, and in early September suffered yet another setback to my getting cut. I've got a pinched nerve in my neck or upper trap. I've been to a chiropractor for weeks on end, and it was only relieving a bit of the pain temporarily, it would come back after a day or so. I've been seeing a doctor as well, and the doc had a CT done of my neck. CT results came back that my neck is fine, so the pinch is somewhere else in my upper trap most likely.

The Doc is referring me now to a "Rehab Specialist", whatever the heck that is.

The fun part of this is I did a cycle from Feb to May, then cruised from May to early August, and then switched from Test E at 200mg/week to my 420mg/week Test P. I had about 4 weeks with Tren A, but then had this happen. So, instead of continuing or switching to a cruise, I've ordered my HCG, and will be starting my PCT in the next few days when it shows up.

The fun part is I've been cutting, and have had various health issues. Feb I was recovering from 4 months in a cast on my right wrist, after having fallen off a horse twice in one day and doing a good job screwing myself up.

I started the cruise in late May and was hit with tendon issues in my left forearm that made it impossible to lift anything, or grip hard on anything. The latest one has me pissed off as there's no cause for the pinched nerve, and it was several days after my previous workout when the pain hit, as I laid down in bed to go to sleep. I dropped the Tren at that point, and kept the Test up as I figured this was going to be a quick fix. But, here I sit 5 weeks later, doped up on T3's, cyclobenzaprine, and gabapentin from the Dr as the pain varies throughout the day, and can be quite intense at times.

On top of this, I also had some bloodwork done and found out that I was hypothyroid, which explains why I've had a lot of issues getting lean.

Here's my problem though. Since I've been cutting, and was making good progress over the previous month, I've been running a caloric deficit. I know that in PCT it's not a good idea to keep cutting, and in all honesty, I don't think I could keep cutting at the moment as I can't do cardio. I can stick to any diet, but I know that if I'm cutting during PCT I'll be losing both the muscle that I regained while I did my own rehab, but also the extra 15 or so pounds of muscle that I gained on top of that. My lean mass when I last checked was in the 215 to 220 range, and I'm about 265 at the moment.

So, I'm trying to figure out what I should be doing during my PCT for diet. I've been on for almost 9 months, and know that coming off right now is a good thing, hence why I'm getting a lot of HCG for this. My PCT will likely be 6 to 8 weeks long, depending on recovery time.

I know that I need to eat at least at maintenance level for this to work well, and that red meat should be in there for the saturated fat to help produce a bit more natural Test. My goal is not to gain any fat during this, and as soon as I can start working out again to get back on my DC workouts, as well as to do at least 30 minutes of cardio 3 to 4 days a week. I'm really not sure if I should just shoot for maintenance, maybe target a bit under, go CKD and see if I can maintain the mass in ketosis, or just take an all out break and let myself fully recover, and see where I'm at in 6 to 8 weeks. After all, I am an endo and can gain mass easy, but have issues losing fat.

I'm a bit depressed at the situation right now, but I know it's the best thing for me to do even if the "hardcore" side of me says that it doesn't want me to. ;)

Give me some ideas Iron Brothers.

Matt

PS - At least this gives me some time to finish my ISSA PT Cert. I've got 6 essay questions, and 2 client profiles to complete by November 14th, so this may be a blessing in surprise.

hey bro...sorry to hear about the injury....i wouldnt run the ckd during pct.....go back to maintenence level for calories and let your body recover. i'd ditch dc until you are fully recovered as well. i blasted for 13-14 weeks straight and my tendons still twinge when i think about a dc workout......anyways......good luck with your testing and let yourself heal......

Thanks bro. I'm thinking healing up would be the best idea right now, especially with how I feel at the moment. I have a massive pressure headache, my neck is very stiff to turn, my entire upper back feels like a fat guy is sitting on it, and I'm very stoned on the painkillers.

When I get off the painkillers, I'll be happy. That makes for progress.

Recovery is indeed the best idea and choice right now.
I know sometimes "rehab" seems like you are wasting your time and there is no benefit.BUT....give it a go and stick with it if the specialist feels they can help you.Progress in rehab can be a slow process

Wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery

Thanks Mr. T. I'm going to give whatever they tell me a go, and I'm hoping for a sports therapist. That would be GOLD.

I sure hope so, I've got so much time on my hands but I'm too stoned on the painkillers to use it effectively. :P

Go see a RMT for active release and they claim they can split the muscle fiber so the pinch nerve can have proper room.It can't hurt for one massage to see your outlook.Student massage at a collage is cheap 25-30 dollars.

I did that right off the bat, and it helped with my upper left trap, but the nerve pain and all that was still there. I might go back and see my guy in the next week.

Money isn't too much of an issue, between me and the wife's benefits I get a grand per year on massage.

Second Favorite. ;) I'm a Forum Lead on Muscular Development, so that's my official home. However, I like both boards. :)
